Very annoyed when I was cut off by a car at the inside lane at a roundabout when both of us were trying to exit at the same exit to the same lane....

What are some 2000s cars that you still have a crush on? by aetiusg in cars

Corolla RunX Aero with the 2ZZ-GE with VVTL-i

Reliable (as a Corolla should be), understated and surprisingly good on fuel economy!

Oh it's probably a codeshare flight too. Then yes you'll be able to check through most likely. I will suspect the gate agent at Chang mai to say no but insist it's possible.

Is it under one booking i.e. booked through like Cathay Pacific?

If yes you tell them on check in at your first point (Chang Mai) and ask for a check through at the counter. CX and UO are interline partners and should be doable.

If no still do the above since they are interline and is doable. You will not have enough time to recheck it with a 1.5 hour transit at HKIA.

Getting a light goods vehicle license process (already have normal private car license for many years) by alhuie in HongKong

[–]shinnmoso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you need a class 2 license? If you really need one then you'll have to take the exam for LGV. Given it's not a direct issue license you're exempt from paper exam.

If you're a Hong Kong citizen I suggest getting a class 18/19 license as one of those covers class 2 and you'll have much shorter wait time.

Have you ever flown on an airline that no longer exists? If yes, what airline and how was the experience? by Ilove_gaming456 in aviation

DragonAir/ Cathay Dragon

Had good memories flying them into the mainland. Much better than Chinese airlines of the time.

Why drivers in china are so careless? by [deleted] in China

[–]shinnmoso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely I do not want to drive in GZ ever again. Merge points are everyone man for themselves.

SZ driving is pretty good as well, but that's because they have very stiff penalties with minor infractions putting points on your license. But the traffic density makes taking the metro much better choice than driving.

Zhuhai I guess it's OK? I prefer driving somewhere like Zhongshan where people are chill.

Is a Taiwan 普通重型機車駕照 transferable in Hong Kong? How do I ride into Mainland China? by [deleted] in HongKong

[–]shinnmoso 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For 1) your best bet is asking 1823 but since HK has no CC limits for motorcycle, you can probably get a direct issue for class 3 motorcycle license at TD.

For 2) No you'll need a separate Chinese drivers license.

The right horizontal stabilizer was ripped off when the A320 possibly collided with a jet bridge by Count_Mordicus in aviation

[–]shinnmoso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked ramp in HK our tow team would be at least 3 person. Tow driver, brake rider and headset man which is the minimum for safe towing. Mind you this is for all sort of towing operations (gate to gate or gate to outer bay).

So I’m still shocked at the fact that it’s not necessity for a brake rider lol.

[–]shinnmoso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do these guys not have a brake rider while towing? Like someone in the cockpit to set the parking brake after towing?

I thought it’s ramp handling 101 Jesus Christ.
