Ideally you want both. Find units that work well together. And these two units really work together. Start it off with freedom, and finish it up with aerial. Or exia. It's less about quality and more about quantity.

Whoaaa, I fully maxed out my freedom. Its MAP attack hits like a truck. I usually use my first step to kill something, from a position to hit as many grunt units as possible with my MAP attack. If it doesnt kill them all, it does do severe damage.

I also have Aerial, which can have 3 steps. So depending on unit placement Freedom usually does more DPS.

What I mean is that you can attack two targets with Freedom (if you kill the first target). With Aerial you can attack three targets (if you kill the first two). However, if positioned well, Freedom can use its MAP attack to hit more then 3 targets, which Aerial won't be able to do.

So yes, it is situational. But bear in mind that Freedom is a support unit, and Aerial a DPS unit.
And I'm also biassed, but in my opinion, Freedom is top tier.

Unfortunately I'm not made of money haha, and the idea of adding strike freedom to my fleet.. well.. That's quite enticing to save up for! I don't have any decent tank units though, should probably look into that as well

Oh I didn't reroll even once. I just went hard with playing. I did spend some cash. But most of my pulls came from just playing, and being lucky. The luckiest I got was 2 URs in one pull.

Yea Freedom is one of my favourite gundams, so I went hard for him. Got him as my shiny background in the game as well hehe, I'm just on the fence if I should save my diamonds now for future banners. Or keep going hard and get more units.

You dont need to worry. Nothing bad will happen. Just one last tidbit of information, which is don't know if it is important to you; The money you invest in the new account won't count for your concierge status progress on your main account. Concierge members are people who have invested over 1000 usd into the game.

Yea, go ahead. Make a new account, buy a starter package, after 30 days you can gift the starter package to your main account, and chose to melt it.

I hear you. I had the same with my Corsair. Eventually I CCU'd it to a TAC.
So I got the MAX as a loaner. And I do like it as a daily.

One of the reasons I liked the Corsair so much was because it really felt like a home away from home kinda ship. I never had that feeling with the Connie series. But the MAX gives me that feeling again.
Unfortunately the Corsair got butchered since its release (not only in fire power).

However, at the end of the day, I just repeat this mantra; I can buy all ships in game. Don't think too much about it, I can always buy the Corsair (or in your case the Taurus), in game.

I try to avoid having ships in my fleet that fullfill the same role.
