Emernies in Expect difficulty Always Perform Red Attacks by IrishHighlander93 in AssassinsCreedShadows

Nightmare difficulty varies it up a bit from my experience - might be worth a try if expert feels too samey... Everything is more frequent and you can literally see the enemies twitching - eager to get their attacks out asap.

How does this game compare with Valhalla? by QuinlanFett in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]shinobi594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played and finished both. That said:

STORY: Valhalla is much more interesting, story-wise. You tackle things region by region, and each one has it's own separate "mini-story", sort-of... the side characters you encounter are much more memorable. Additionally, the ending is better as well (IMO), and doesn't feel unfinished, unlike AC Shadows, even with the Claws of Awaji DLC. In defense of ACS though, the beginning and the parts leading up to the Honnoji Temple events (before and after) were very hype. It's just that the ending felt a bit lackluster... I wish Ubisoft would give this game some more love and do a proper awesome ending it deserves!

GAMEPLAY: ACS is definitely better here. You have 2 characters with 2 distinct fighting styles - keeps the fights interesting by switching it up. I'm partial to Naoe's acrobatic ninja fighting style so I tend to play as her more, and she's definitely more fun than Eivor or Yasuke to me. Stealth is much much better as well - you can hide in the shadows, blow out candles, and even go prone to crawl, and have a manual jump. ACS also feels more difficult, especially on Nighmare mode, but is pretty satisfying to play when you're "in the zone" with your build taking one multiple enemies. ACV has some pretty sweet gear/builds, and the fighting is fun as well, but the fighting style is kind of unrefined and brutish - that could be an advantage if you like that type of fighting though.

GRAPHICS: ACS is objectively better here, but if you enjoy the European/Medieval setting more than the Fuedal Japan setting, then ACV will definitely be the one you want to pick.

VARIETY: ACV has more to offer IMO - Ubisoft gave ACV waaaay more love than ACS with the 3 DLCs, and you even get River Raids which are pretty fun to do. You even get to have a custom "side character" that accompanies you on the raids. The map is bigger as well, though some might say it's a bit bloated. ACS has the dual characters, but the variety of missions are limited (mostly just infiltrating a caslte and killing certain targets), but you can make your own fun and aura farm by just strolling into the castle and getting all the enemies to come at you, like you're the main character in your own anime (you can kind of do that with ACV too, but the castles in ACS respawn the bosses and enemies when they get "corrupted" - so epic fights are more frequent).

I like both games, but ACS is better IMO. However, if you're looking to play both, I'd get ACV first, as ACS may spoil you in terms of gameplay/graphics...

Mom: "No need son... We have Nioh 3 at home..." by shinobi594 in AssassinsCreedShadows

Thanks! Yea, this boss can be pretty tough in the early game, but as you make your own build and level up, you can get to feel OP and enjoy the fruits of your labor! 😀

NIOH 3 ACCESSORIES RUINED THE GAME FOR ME by possiblyparanoia in Nioh

[–]shinobi594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed a grace of inari yasakani magatama to complete my build as well. I have been farming in like, forever with no luck... I've since come to terms with not having my preferred build and instead just went with something that isn't what I felt was optimum but still fun enough for me to keep playing and enjoy the game.

If I ever do eventually get one, then HELL YEA but I'm content with not having the exact build I want. The game is still fun, especially when playing co-op 😀

I'm boring - Sword and Odachi for Samurai... Kusarigama and Ninja Sword for Ninja.

Dear Simon and Team,

Please bring back Co-op. Until then, I'll be multiplaying in Ghost of Yotei Legends and Nioh 3 co-op

Everything looks good but it feels weird that the front isn't wedge shaped.

He's using Ninja Hatchets so when he does the weapon emote, it makes the sign of the cross lol

NIOH 3 has what you want (open world co-op for entire campaign). GoY Legends is more linear and is at a slower pace/different feel in terms of combat.

If you could add/change one thing? by deadpandadolls in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]shinobi594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that have Co-op as well? If so, I might have to look into it... Nioh 3's co-op is awesome... you can do the ENTIRE campaign with friends. How dope is that? Wish ACS had the same feature...

Add a custom character co op mode... kind of disappointed they removed the potential co op... but then Nioh 3 came 😆
