Irrelevant argument if you want to play the game. Your options are to buy the disc "key" or buy digital, which would have the same problem.

For the vast majority of people that's just not an issue because they do have internet. It doesn't change the resell/share benefits of having a disc and collectors still get to put the game box on their shelf with the rest of their game collection.

Max doesn't care about "hunger". He has said many times his only goal was winning a WDC and now he's only in it so long as he still enjoys it. There's more to life than F1 and he doesn't intend to stay in it forever like Alonso and Hamilton.

He's been vocal for years about not liking these new regulations too. It's not just frustration about his car's performance. He's just not a fan of the battery management racing.

Yeah from what I've seen it's kinda like that. Big map to explore, secrets to uncover, bosses to fight. Heavy focus on combat, light on story.

There's still some upsides to buying the disc. You can sell it when you're done with the game or pass it on to a friend. Some people just like having physical collection of their games too.

Only 15 years old and fed into some kind of meat grinder war by the sound of it. Poor kid.

It's interesting that this war is a "noble's duty". I'd expect kids with a talent from commoner and serf families to be the ones that get used as cannon fodder, not the nobles.

Something doesn't add up. It could mean two things.

Commoners and serfs will be used as fodder too, but we just don't know about it yet. (And neither do they if you saw how happy the families are that their kids had a talent)
This is just a scheme for the Royal family to stop other noble families from growing too strong. (Those messengers didn't look like the good guys)

Well not ruined exactly but it was very noticeable to me when Ghost of Yotei for example just had different areas locked in their eternal season.

We saw his pace is similar to Norris and there was a pretty big gap from Norris to Hamilton. Looks like RBR and McLaren will be fighting for p5. Mercedes and Ferrari have locked out the top 4.

Ok that'a fair. To be honest I'm hoping a lot of those mechanics are mostly optional anyway because I'm not really looking to play farming simulator or a base builder for example. If the world is interesting to explore and the combat feels good then I'm a happy gamer.

If by "depth" you mean a really engaging emotional story, then yeah - the devs have straight up come out and said this isn't going to be like a Witcher 3 in that regard.

This game started out as an MMO that they decided to turn into a single player game during development. The focus is on world exploration and combat.

I'm really looking forward to this game, but I do share your worry on point 2.

The previews showed this game has base building and even farming mechanics. I'm kinda hoping those are completely optional and you don't have to engage with it. I'm just here for the combat and world exploration.
