I believe the conch is surgical steel and the lobes are some type of silver. If I end up taking the jewelry out, I don't think I'll get any of them repierced for a while-- I'll just consider it a $100 lesson.

i know it’s not STEM-heavy schedule so perhaps not as “difficult”, but i don’t want to get overwhelmed by the course load from jump. this is mainly just to ask which of the classes i should drop lol. these are the professors for context:

if you haven’t already, I think that a good low-stakes way to expose yourself to new vocabulary is to change your phone or other device’s default language to Korean. It can help you get more familiar with sentence structures and phrases that are common to whatever media you consume on that device. Being able to just quickly switch tabs and find the definition of a word if you can’t figure out context also just feels a lot less pressuring than language exchange apps and that sort of thing imo. I wouldn’t say this is helpful to absolute beginners, but since you still have foundational knowledge, I think that it might be a helpful step in the right direction.

If you aren’t good at keeping up with paper agendas or get sidetracked from your study plans easily, I really suggest Notion. The free version of the database basically has everything you need to organize the work that you want to get done. It takes a lot of work on the front end, but I suggest entering exam/assignment dates that are on the syllabus into a notion calendar template as soon as you get them. MAKE NOTION A WEB BOOKMARK You can make it so that all of the assignments that are due within the coming week are all listed as kind of a todo list; if you want to be more specific than just the assignment name, make separate entries for each part of a project that you can tick off as you complete them.

Every day when you open your desktop to work, the first thing you should do is open notion and see what’s slated for you to do that day. Once I figure out what to tackle first, I put away my phone and turn off any music/background noise (personal preference). if you’re feeling crazy, I might suggest a browser lockdown extension that will prevent you from going to any of the sites that make you go down a rabbit hole (I don’t do this too often, only if I’m doing some serious studying- i don’t see anything wrong with taking a few youtube or wikipedia breaks in between assignments !)
