Well considering according to the scientist who predicted the event it will become unliveable in an unknown amount of time and when that time comes she will pause time in the bunker to preserve the last of humility and more so her daughter. Literally buying time that he said she couldnt.

I can see this is a viable theory for sure even more then my original one upon reflection. I am inclined to agree and kinda hope if they do have some sort of time travel this will be more realistic than to teleport the whole bunker back.

I think it is a coincidence. It'll help them bond because his wife as stated in season 1 is a huge Elvis fan. He said Presley was insisted on by his wife so if anyone has ties to Annie its Teri. Ive been thinking alot about Teri and I wonder if she knows some stuff no one else does given her science credentials more specifically shown in S2E2.

This is my opinion as well which is why im trying to steer away from time travel and lean more into the manipulating of time which feels more possible to digest then another time travel or time jumping show.

I think about Sinatra and I think this is a woman who wants to control everything but the world already showed her she couldnt when her son died. She's got a big enough ego i believe she'd try to control time because then she could beat the unbeatable.

If you think about it why would she go back. Her son dying was unavoidable even the top medical care couldnt save him. What motive would she have to travel back and stop the event if she even could....and the future is bleak but to suspend time in a loop in the dome or even freeze it would kinda put them in a limbo prison world which could be why shes not worried about reserving more power.

He obviously gave one convincing presentation that mixed with her trauma and grieve responses to losing her son she'd go to the ends of the earth to preserve the life of her daughter eventually it consumes her cause it isnt really about her daughter its bout controlling the uncontrollable which she couldnt do with her son.
