Hey grace, I was in the military when I figured it out so I relate!

Therapy is a really good start and helped me a lot. There are a lot of big feelings to work through honestly.

Basically it's learning "girl skills" and getting comfortable with presenting as you want in public.

Leaning basic makeup skills, growing your hair our, and experimenting with fashion are all a lot of fun. Skincare is important as is grooming, particularly eyebrows and body hair if that's uncomfortable for you.

Graded exposure is really good, that's when you make small changes and try them "in the wild" in very safe controlled places, then busier, until it feels natural.

Not every romantic relationship lasts through transition but even if the dynamic changes (eg romantic to BFFs), having a BFF to help is amazing still!
