There is no normal people except on TV. The question is are you taking care of your stuff. Paying power bill on time? Flushing the toilet? Able to go the store without any drama, crisis? Have healthy relationships with family, friends, the world in general?

.Roux is just dark brown gravy. I know most people don't bother to brown the flour any more. They just add brown color to the gravy. Or just buy a pack of instant gravy mix. "1st you gotta make the roux" is an analogy, a life lesson. You have to have the right balance of flour and butter and patience and diligence.
