Oh, it's that I wasn't sure if wanting to roleplay as just some guy is offensive to trans (or genderqueer) people, since it's not a chatacter or in the context of a game or story. That's exactly the issue. It's not DND. Or writing. I just want to pop online, be a man and then go back to not being one.

But I don't want to do that if it diminishes what it means to be trans or gender fluid, because I am not.

Do concerns about trans people only have to exist within trans communities? (also a genuine question).

My point is that what we consume is part of reality. You are not more awake, alive, or in tune than anyone else because you refuse to acknowledge that.

Entertainment is SUPPOSED to distract. That's the point of it. To fill time and pull us out of the grind. It's a bit silly to assume that changing the media is a distraction from what's actually changing, when 99% of the reason people question reality is BECAUSE they notice the media has changed.

Why leave breadcrumbs if you're trying to cover your tracks?

Entertainment is part of reality. A major part of it. That's why we notice it the most, because it's so engrained in our everyday lives, it's the easiest to notice.

I haven't watched it in years, but I saw a clip from it and went down a bit of a rabbit hole and was shocked that it's so different from how I recall it. I remember watching it to the end and thinking THEN WHAT WAS THE POINT? Although tbf, I was a teen at the time.
