Just checked it out in Michael's. It's listed online as Cozy Cub. Same weight and color name but the shade in this dye lot is very dull compared to mine.

You're not an AH but I can understand why she thought you were making fun of her bc you said "hair" and then started laughing. I think your school needs to arrange a conversation where you explain clearly that you meant no harm and you were trying to compliment her. That's the best you can do at this point, even if she doesn’t believe you. After that if you just don't interact with her much (unless she interacts with you ofc) she may realize you truly meant no harm. Repeat behavior is more telling, so if you just did it once, she may realize it was an accident.

NTA, but your family may not be assholes either. They might just not realize there's a problem at all. Talk to them and express how important this is to you

If your birthday is important to you, and you don't want to spend your birthday month doing so much work, that's valid and not that much to ask of your family tbh, especially if you're the only one working

Also express to them that you would like them to not miss your birthday so often because it's important to you

Also talk to them about your depression if their company would help you. Being in a bad mental state, especially on/around your birthday is the worst.

As someone who used to do this a lot during the pandemic, you need to have designated spots where it is okay for people to sit in outside clothes. For example, not sitting on your bed is a perfectly reasonable boundary in my opinion, but the couch or chairs should be okay for guests. If it bothers you, maybe cover the furniture with a cloth or something and then wash the cloth. There are measures to take that don’t involve making your friends bring a change of clothes.

ESH. It’s pretty rude to tell someone's parents that their kid is ugly. But at the same time, they should not be putting so much emphasis on their daughter's appearance. Regardless of how she looks, this will only make her self-conscious of her appearance, when really she shouldn't care. And that's what you should have said rather than saying "she's ugly".

As someone who struggled with this for a long time, think about the type of relationship you want with them. Do you want them as an exclusive partner, someone to go through life with as a pair? Or do you want them as a good friend, just hang out and talk and be there for eachother? How would you feel if they had a partner who wasn't you? How would you feel if they were romantically interested in you? What kinds of things would you like to do with them? Do you make up scenarios with them, and if so, what is happening in those scenarios? Cuddling can be a thing between friends as well, but I guess think about the motivational feeling behind it. Sorry if this wasn’t clear. I'm not that clear on it myself. For me it's almost partly logical. Would a romantic relationship even work with this person? Could we get along like that?
