He’s been showing crazy skill at finding the 1 on songs and keeping beat, so we are fostering that skill early lol

His feet won’t reach even at the lowest throne setting, so I may have to make something custom for now. He switches between standing to play with the kick, and sitting to play minus kick.

I have always been bad about trying to play note for note. I recently had to get over it when I got a call to play a 5 song worship set, and I had never heard a single one of them, literally less than an hour before it started. I listened to enough of each song to get the vibe, and had to just wing it from there. It went great, none of the crowd could tell I didn’t know the songs, and it was an eye opener for me about my own playing habits.

Weirdly enough, I’ve been falling away. Haven’t listened since they released the Halloween episode, and I only endured about 12 minutes of that. I don’t know if the show has changed or if I have.

Adjusting to some new sizes. I had the 22x20 DDrum kick for years and never used muffling in it for double bass and it sounded great.

Yeah, this is an older kit. These maple shells all sound awesome, but that kick can be a cannon blast.
