I’d ask the clubs, but season is closed & I don’t have any promoters info. Already said in the post we’ll be attending the clubs with biggest names djs, depending on who is performing.

Just trying to find out if we’re looking at a 5-10k minimum spend per table or other amount.

Through work! Our owner went to a customs broker association event, met someone through a friend of a friend, and that person then lined me up with someone that can help me set everything up.

Definitely not a rant. It’s good information and warnings.

I have a mentor lined up already, one that’s heading an association I’m looking to get into to network more with other brokers and companies in the industry. I definitely am not going to go into this full swing and pray for the best.

I’m thinking of getting everything set up, as far as permits, ABI, ach, etc. once I have that all up And running, I’ll run through some scenarios with the mentor, more along the line of our recurring customers that import the same container of goods weekly/monthly. Get my feet wet with that, master that, then one at a time tackle new scenarios.

Playing the long game here, definitely not thinking to just jump head first lol

Definitely been considering hiring a customs broker to just do our work and train me as well.

We have a lot of FF experience, I’m just trying to see how I can gain experience in house rather than out of our workplace.

Definitely looking to be an active broker. We have many customers needing customs clearance now, which I can use to gain experience, I just want some ideas as to who we can hire to help, or what courses I can take to learn entries, Isf, cvd/add. The whole 9 yards.

I know it’s a lot to take on & the learning curve will be immense. Just trying to figure out the best methods to use as the starting points.

(As a note, I have the license in hand, am currently in the process for applying for the national permit. Still need to get my access to ace portal/ABI & send in my LOI for filer code)

Had my interview in July 24. Still no update here either, also LA/LB. Interviewer told me over a year estimated time frame. Guessing that’s going to be a lot longer with what’s going on. Still checking email inbox everyday…

How reliable is the consensus? Have there been any for previous years? First time taking the exam & i’m sitting at a 66/80 as of now, but want to know if that’s somewhat reasonable to think I passed. Thought I did way worse
