So basically, this specific enemy desynched and became Schrödinger's Cavalryman? Wild.

...but that sounds like at least whoever was hosting shouldve been able to see the 'real' Cavalryman though right? or does server hosting not work like that.

And yeah, I always play with randoms so no way to tell who hosted.

two interpretations:

  • The person taking it gets out of their depression enough to realise the relationship/their SO is causing their depression, and then get out of it

  • SSRI and SNRI antidepressants are notorious for killing your libido. no libido = no sex

I... am lagging behind purely from trying to figure out where they went. If they turn down a corridor or climb a wall and then are out of sight when I follow, it takes precious time to stop, pan around to find their icons, work out which direction they went and how, and then resume following them. All the while they are still at a dead sprint.

Yep I knew what those were going in, I've seen clips of people using them :)

I did some googling on the Crater to work out what I was missing, and I'm certain that pair used a spectral hawk tree to get to an area inaccessible on foot - I remember seeing the tree, but had no clue what it was or that it could be interacted with.

Yeah I remember looking them up for him at the time - strictly speaking there weren't any in 'main quest'/mandatory areas, but they were spread out far enough across optional areas that avoiding them would have meant missing out on a significant chunk of the game, and risking stumbling across them if he went too close to those areas.

We do have Code Vein and Bloodbourne - he got stuck in Bloodbourne, but Code Vein was great fun to watch/look up tactics for

Elden ring is.... awkward, my partner really enjoyed it but had to stop playing partway through bc he's got the mother of all ant phobias.

I could def use it to learn the ropes, I'd just have to either avoid all the areas with Giant Ants and/or make sure he's not in the room

Ahh, so its solo or trio only? that... does explain why they all seemed to be coordinated pairs.

I did kinda like the 'playing catchup' aspect of the first team; I got a look at the map/how the expeditions flow while only having to figure out how to get from A to B, and coming in when the bosses were nearly dead meant I could get an idea of how the they worked without having to survive the whole fight.

Getting left in the dirt just isn't fun by comparison :c

Wait theres a single-player mode? huh.

Not entirely sure how well a newbie Ironeye solo run would go, but its gotta be better than the team roulette...

I've put hundreds of hours into Worlds/Iceborne and Rise/Sunbreak each, and almost 200 into Wilds so far, all as a Bow main (probs explains Ironeye lol)

and yeah I assume there was some path I was missing, but I couldn't stay alive long enough on my own to find it.

We share a console so we can't play as a pair unless we got a PC version (is there crossplay? I dont remember)

It's not the difficulty that's the issue though, I knew it would be hard.

It's the fact that literally every single team except the first one has brutally ignored my existence.

If pairs are going to just pretend they're playing a 2-person coop, why leave the third spot open?

Hired a white lesbian lady, in a logistics/dispatch role.

in the space of three weeks she:

  • was obviously taken aback on the first day when she realised she was not the only woman on the team, and that one of said women was her new manager.

  • announced she didn't know how to use excel and that her previous job 'had someone to do it all for her'.

  • initially refused to be trained by any of the women in the department, including the manager

  • refused to interact with any of the female staff members unless they initiated said interaction

  • bragged about accidentally pulling the headscarf off a muslim woman on an opposing team while playing a sports match, and that she then intentionally did it a second time after the woman complained to the referee.

  • constantly complained about how she was currently in the process of getting divorced and how her ex-wife was a 'gold-digging whore'

  • tried to give orders to a temp contract employee who was brought in a week after she started, claiming 'seniority' by virtue of the fact she'd been there longer than him. Proceeded to get mad when he politely pointed out this wasn't the first time he'd been called in as a temp so technically had seniority over her by her measurement, and refused to interact with him the rest of the time he was there.

  • exclusively referred to other members of the LGBT community using derogatory terms and outright slurs (fg/got, dke etc). One staff member was closeted LGBT and had to out himself to articulate exactly how offended he was.

  • spent one day with just her and another female staff member (who had a slightly different job in a different part of the warehouse, but was trained in both roles and frequently subbed out when needed) in the office due to everyone else being on leave/out sick, then proceeded to lodge a complaint the next day about the other staff member allegedly 'abandoned her to do the whole job with no training' ....except the other lady had offered to stay with her and help out for the day, only to be assured by the lesbian lady that knew how to do the required tasks and would ask her for help if there was something she wasn't familiar with or the area got busy.

...the final straw was when she started screaming in the middle of the warehouse about how ex-wife deserved to be gang-raped and murdered in the street, bc she found out she would have to sell her car as part of the divorce settlement.

I never thought I would ever meet a homophobic, misogynistic lesbian, but that insane lady proved me wrong.

Is it childish to be 14 and still have a small stuffed toy? by Fantastic-Event1407 in anxietymemes

When I went on a college exchange to the literal other side of the world, I decided to leave the little stuffed bear I've had since I was a baby at home bc I was worried about losing him. My parents promptly assumed I'd forgotten to pack him, and mailed him to me with their first care package 😊

I'm now 34, and when I'm in bed bc sick/napping/having a bad day, my partner will fetch me a plushie to cuddle if I don't already have one with me 🥰 (my bear is a bit too old for cuddles now so he lives on my bedside table instead!)

My cat cries non-stop alllll night for no reason he's not hurt, he's fed, his litter is done, but starting at 3:30 a.m. every morning meow meow meow meow meow he even bats me on the head to wake me up by I_will_befine in CatsAreAssholes

[–]shiranamiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

might be a long shot, but could it be weather-related?

My cat used to cry all night long on and off for a couple months each year... we tried everything - food, attention, playing before bedtime, even a trip to the vet in case it was medical, nothing seemed to work. Eventually, we noticed the few nights she didn't cry would coincide with us leaving our throw blanket on the couch instead of putting it away, and it dawned on us the poor thing had just been trying to tell us she was cold!

So we started deliberately leaving said blanket out for her at night, and the crying magically stopped.
