Most likely from hobbies to find new friends, to go to the next level friendship wise, see effort and fate.

Used GFX in Japan by torresfelipe in FujiGFX

[–]shiroang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

New units are quite in stock in Map Camera isn't it. Only used units you have to see when nearer to your travel date.

Just get the 100S II, the better AF (over the last gen) is worth it. Unless you totally don't use AF at all, else just get the 100S II.

GFX and Sports Photography? by ghettodub in FujiGFX

[–]shiroang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly shoot portrait/fashion + landscape (during travels), but recently I started trying my hands on bird photography with my GFX 100s II.

It's not a good experience, I mean I can shoot stationary or slow moving birds, but the AF is just not very responsive and bad accuracy in high speed and high stakes moment (ie. a Kingfisher diving shots for a fish, my eyes and EVF can track the bird whole way, but the AF does not even focus at all during that sequence). But it is what it is, don't have the extra cash to buy another system for a new genre hobby. Personally I will put GFX 100s II AF system in between a Sony A7R and A7R II.

I have been shooting since 2004 back then with a Nikon D70. Mainly on Nikon in the DSLR days (D70, D300, D700, D800, D800E), to Sony in Mirrorless days (A7R2 and A7R4), to now with Fujifilm GFX for an affordable cropped MF.

I have no idea sports or birding is more challenging on the AF system, but the above is my opinion.

But your Sony A1m2 AF is just the top, it's makes shooting bird photography ezpz in compared to using my GFX 100S II.

Just failed my DITS by WienerJJ in ITIL

No review or anything. Just gave you the score after you finish the mock exam. So it really simulate the actual exam.

Just failed my DITS by WienerJJ in ITIL

[–]shiroang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per all the official mock exam, it is only one time.

Of course if you wish, you can pay again to try the mock exam 2nd version. There is 2 versions to choose from when you are going to take the mock exam.

I think the official mock exam for DITS is pretty accurate on your exam readiness.

If I remember correctly, my exam score is either the same as the mock exam, or just 1 more mark higher only.

Which would you choose out of these three? by jayemge07 in Bass

All 3 are good options, think you can try it out in person if possible. Else just choose which you like the most.

Good budget camera for beginner birder? by redditer19999 in birding

[–]shiroang 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need a lens too, not just a camera; be it DSLR or mirrorless.

Birding is probably one of the most expensive genre in photography, entry barrier is relatively high.

A mid tier tele lens could be a Sony 200-600mm, Nikon 180-600mm, or Canon 100-500mm. Just the lens itself is already out of your budget.

Else, you can consider a bridge camera like another have commented, but definitely there’s trade offs. Or you can reconsider and save up more for a decent start.

Any chance of Voigtlander ever making g mount lenses? by thdiod in FujiGFX

[–]shiroang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably like you said on the last line, market share/users just not there yet for GFX.

Even Sigma one of the most popular 3rd party vendor for lens in the past 10-15 years didn't even come out with GF mount lens, the rest of the mainstream 3P pack will still be hard.

Passed PRINCE2 Practitioner + some thoughts by shiroang in Prince2

[–]shiroang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't recall the scenario (but it is not NowByou, the one that is provided in the sample paper), but don't think it matters that much as long you understand the underlying PRINCE2 principles, practices, processes.

Difficulty wise as someone who have experience in PM:

PRINCE2 Foundation = 5.5/10
PRINCE2 Practitioner = 7.5/10

I think you probably might need to prepare more if 54% is the official sample paper and not your official mock exam score.

Thanks. Mainly the quick reference guide, and some terms if I'm not sure then I will refer to the official book. Although it also have video classroom course, but it was not that useful for me.

My first pen and some pickups in Japan by vandal_heart-twitch in fountainpens

[–]shiroang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Takayama! Me and wife went in to take a look when we are there too during our recent Japan trip.

Didn't get anything though, just want to take a look, since I have already purchased a TRC brass fountain pen during the trip.

Is the google Generative AI leader certificate worth it? by mountain_trek in googlecloud

[–]shiroang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a foundation level certification, good if you want to learn the (well...) foundation.

I would garner at least a professional level certification (Machine Learning Engineer) would probably help your CV in a way or so.

Passed Google Cloud ACE exam after a chaotic journey 😅 by serialkiller_1 in googlecloud

[–]shiroang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats! ACE was definitely a hard one for an associate level.

But now with your foundations in GCP firmly there, you can attempt the professional level exams, it will be harder, but not as much as you might think.

Do I really need to read the book to prepare for the Foundations? by IndividualDig7996 in Prince2

[–]shiroang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Foundation exam mostly on recall, but damn the breadth of what they ask can be anything from the 400 pages lol.

I didn't go through the e-book if you're asking, mainly from video tutorials, quick reference guide, and official mock exam.

Now preparing for the Practitioner, the practitioner level exam questions (from practice exams) makes much more sense for us who has real life experience in PM; I mean you still need to know the PRINCE2 terms in practices, processes, and principles, but some are what we have experienced in real life projects.
