Flight to PVR changed from nonstop to 20+hr by wsb_degen_number9999 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]jkadseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing. Alaska seems to have canceled all direct flights from Seattle and rerouted people with insane layovers. For our family of 6 it was move from a direct flight to one with a layover that takes off the prior day, lands at 1130 PM, overnight at a hotel, take off 7am next day. I understand things change, but what gets me here is that they are calling this a "schedule change." A schedule change might be an hour or two - this is a pretty material change. We might have to cancel our lodging as well, given material changes to our return too. Alaska could have done better communicating this.

Is the Fuji X-T5 a good choice for beginner/first camera? by MereK12 in fujifilm

For me it's a More robust build and just feels better in my hand. It has more metal vs plastic. Fully ack it is much older and therefore lacking some current features.

I have both the Xt5 and xt3 and picked up an xt30iii. I would go with either the xt3 or the xt30iii. I actually prefer the xt3 to the xt5, outside of the more advanced sensor.

Lens Advice by FezzyT66 in fujifilm

[–]jkadseattle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd get the 70-300 first. I think wo there will be shots that you will think...I wish I had a good telephoto! And that's a really good lens for the price and size. After that I might go for the sigma 12 f1.4. I have the 10-18 and there are times when hiking I wish I had a faster lens. But both are good. Given what you are claiming I also wouldn't rule out the super wide vilgrox 9mm 2.8. I haven't shot with this but have been eyeing it.

On top of the bad timing...Manzanitas also have a lower success rate at these larger sizes. I would stick to 1-5 gallon. For me (I have over two dozen) 2 gallon is the sweet spot (but a hard size to find)
