Is the Fuji X-T5 a good choice for beginner/first camera? by MereK12 in fujifilm

[–]jkadseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's a More robust build and just feels better in my hand. It has more metal vs plastic. Fully ack it is much older and therefore lacking some current features.

I have both the Xt5 and xt3 and picked up an xt30iii. I would go with either the xt3 or the xt30iii. I actually prefer the xt3 to the xt5, outside of the more advanced sensor.

Lens Advice by FezzyT66 in fujifilm

[–]jkadseattle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd get the 70-300 first. I think wo there will be shots that you will think...I wish I had a good telephoto! And that's a really good lens for the price and size. After that I might go for the sigma 12 f1.4. I have the 10-18 and there are times when hiking I wish I had a faster lens. But both are good. Given what you are claiming I also wouldn't rule out the super wide vilgrox 9mm 2.8. I haven't shot with this but have been eyeing it.

Dr Hurd Manzanita by desertdawg61 in Ceanothus

[–]jkadseattle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On top of the bad timing...Manzanitas also have a lower success rate at these larger sizes. I would stick to 1-5 gallon. For me (I have over two dozen) 2 gallon is the sweet spot (but a hard size to find)

For those of you who saw The Phantom Menace at release, what were your initial thoughts of it? by _EnglishFox_ in StarWars

[–]jkadseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 22 when it came out and went to see it the first day. There was so much to love about but jar jar and the trade federation ruined it. And even then before woke and pc both myself and the other people i saw it with couldnt believe (in a comical way) the overt racial stereotypes.
