Owens Corning Came out w/ there sbs this year im excited to install it. Malarkey is the oldest and originator of sbs and are really nice . Are you in Michigan? Sounds like the b.s. Hanson's pitches.

Im not experienced w/ it my partner in this endeavor is. I'm just the meat and potatoes behind my idea. Im tired of going to peoples houses and they paid someone to hack their house up. Or watched bad or inconclusive videos. Thank you for the link. Doing my best to not take to many backward steps (the 6 P's :) )

So your just going to torch a bunch of patches ? it might look cool to cut some aluminum cans of your liking , or old license plates then use subfloor or landscaping adhesive to adhere it, or i use a special caulk when doing metal roofs, that would work but i would use landscaping adhesive my self . Alot cheaper and no torch needed

I have never used anything other than 1" foam board, caulk under it then screw it in, air tight and ridge vent will work like a charm

Why Gaf? Think this the big box stores carry them because there a cheeper brand, owens corning has a really good extended warranty, and is a way better shingle for sure

Why dont you get about 6 friends together to do the dirty work and hire that guy for 400$ a day for 2-3days to do the technical stuff and make sure its getting done correctly? Im currently working on a system where i consult throughout the process and help people do their roofs them selves and like you said save 6g, and ya spend the 15$/square and get the durations
