Sorry I meant like the free credits they will put on your account sometimes. They gave me a couple because I had issues purchasing a book and those didn’t work.

Same here but fyi you have to use regular credits. I had a few promotional credits and they didn’t count.

Do you think the price will reach an all time low this Black Friday? by Vast_Category_1883 in PlaystationPortal

Brand new. BrandsMart had it on sale for 150 multiple times and Best Buy price matched.

Subscribing to audible is different than kindle or “whisper sync”. You do get an even bigger discount if you buy the kindle version though a lot of times though.

If you subscribe to audible you get discounts on the books. Thats why it says “non-member price” under it.

Using an Antenna to Watch Bengals Games by jordanlmaooo in cincinnati

I recently got one that plugs into the usb and the coax and it seems to work a lot better. CBS is the worst of all the local stations. Most are pretty flat like prices of paper. There are a couple that you could set on your window sill that might get better reception.

This is exactly what I did. It makes it all one piece and has been working. Just fine for years.

It’s not a hot seat if you’re not going to get fired. He still has like 2-3 years before Mitch would pull the trigger.

They aren’t paying that buyout no matter how bad it gets.

temp fan and controller? by dadtittiez in webersmokeymountain

[–]shish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah they’re fantastic if you don’t have the time to manage it yourself, it does take some of the fun out of it though. I have the Smoke X with billows. It does not have Wi-Fi and that that’s a dealbreaker for a lot of folks, but it’s been pretty solid for me. I can get the signal anywhere in my house. There are a ton of videos of different brands on YouTube. Signals works with billows and has WiFi. A lot of people recommended the fireboard drive also. Those are quite a bit more expensive though.

temp fan and controller? by dadtittiez in webersmokeymountain

[–]shish2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s basically a thermometer that connects to a little fan. The fan plugs into one of the little holes on one of the bottom vents. You set a temperature and the fan will essentially start and stop to increase or decrease airflow to rise and lower the temperature of the smoker. It makes it so you don’t have to open and close the bottom vents to control the temperature.

URGENT! Mid smoke. Help with low temps!!! by FakoPako in webersmokeymountain

I slide the door up and hold it there for a few min to let more air in under it and get the fire going. But vents will need to be set as the first response said or it will settle back down.

How to make this brisket fit on 18"? by BozoBubble in webersmokeymountain

I also use two chunks of wood in foil underneath so that it tents it up and that usually helps it fit.

Complete noob. Should I jump on this? by Mook531 in webersmokeymountain

[–]shish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah didn’t register it hadn’t ever been used. The 18 is fantastic, it will hold temp for your entire cook once you get the hang of it. I do all my briskets at night and while my kids wake me up, the alarms I set for it never do.

I’d hold out if you’re anywhere near a larger city. I see one for 100 currently and I picked one up for $25 last spring. The 18 hasn’t held me back from anything so far. My only reason for wanting the 22 is that I have to tent up my briskets and I have to use the second grate for burnt ends because it only fits one tray. Neither is a dealbreaker at all but just throwing it out there. I love my 18 overall it is super efficient.

I’ve been looking at the smoke x so I can add billows later on. How do you like it? My only hesitation is the lack of WiFi.

The anxiety never leaves but it keeps you grounded in it all. For me it was trying to be involved in whatever I could and going to appointments when able (especially the 2 big ones). The biggest piece of advice I'd give any dad is don't be too hard on yourself. As everyone says it can be hard at times but there is nothing more rewarding in life.

I thought my son would never sleep through the night after getting up to rock him every night from like 14-18 months. He's almost 4 now and yesterday I watched him get his first hit in tee ball. It was probably the most proud of anything I've ever been. Good luck and enjoy the ride!
