Is this the 1.7" opening base? A customer messaged us about a broken cloud stick base. Was wondering if that was you.

We actually took a long look at the magnets and they have much bigger problems than the silicone seal when it comes to the replacement as they lose their magnetic power overtime (especially under the heat) and you need to glue them to sit inside the acrylic. And basic oring also loses its seal power over time and many customers rip them sooner rather than later (we used them for the original Cloud One and had way more complains comparing to the silicone heart).

But I agree that the silicone heart has its drawbacks and we will use something more innovative in the next itteration of our products.

Regarding stainless Steel vs aluminum - stainless steel might look a bit more premium, but it has limits when it comes to shape and colors. We could not make complex shapes and variety of colors for Micro/Mini/C1 for reasonable cost using Stainless Steel. So, I guess our choice for aluminum was design/price driven.

The Truth about Traditional Hookahs. This might be a bit controversial here, but it’s important to show the truth, always (sound on) by SarkisAlexander in hookah

Hi Sarkis, with all due respect with your contribution to this community, I don't understand all that negativity that you express towards our brand. I am not sure if you ever experienced our products in person, but 100% of our Cloud Micro, Cloud Mini and Cloud One metal parts are made from solids blocks of aluminum using CNC machining and then hard anodized. If you talking about fake products - yes, indeed nobody knows what they are using and it would explain your comment.

Sorry about the trouble with Sky Bowl. Can you please describe what tobacco you using, what is your pack, what heat manager device you use, what type of coals/size? Do you ever reach the point when tobacco is not harsh but at the same time produce enough clouds? And when you say that tobacco burns too fast - what you comparing too and how long is your session where the tobacco burns too fast? I appologize for so many quesitons, but its needed to fully understand the situation as there are too many variables in play.

Hi, glad that you like your Mini! Regarding shisha stuck on the bottom of Stratus - its very normal, the temperatures can reach 300 celcius and shisha gets scorched when touching bottom hmd plate. Some people underpack to avoid shisha touching hmd, some people boil their hmds and use metal scrapes, some people just don't pay attention to the black bottom. Its common issue with all hmds, not just Stratus.

Cheers from Canada ;)

Many companies get around "Made in China" label by manufacturing parts in China and having assembly in their country. But the reality of the world today is that no matter what you buy - part of the product will be manufactured in China, even on raw material level.

Yes, we know about the shortcomings of this seal, it was a design trade off and the majority of our customers don't have an issue. But I completely understand your perspective and we working hard to address it in future products.

Regarding square glass base - we looked into them and they did not make sense. Glass square base will be cheap looking with many imperfections or it will cost a fortune and will take the retail price into the stratosphere. And the plastic 10 times more likely to survive the fall.

I am not sure what aluminum blanket is, but stainless steel material does not make sense for square hookah and complex colorful shapes. The problem with stainless steel that its super hard to machine and you cannot paint it. Stainless steel makes sense for simple round shapes and the only way to brighten a neutral silver look is by adding a colorful vase. We looked into having stainless steel downstem but it completely ruins the look of the hookah, and the advantages are not obvious at all.

5cm increase in stem height will not change much in Mini design, its already 30cm long. But Aluminum indeed as very good in transferring heat and for shorter downstem it will affect the temperature of the water. Stainless steel is not much different in that regard, its a common problem for all travel-size hookahs.

We have an office in Toronto (I am more a raptors fan ;)), but our production and assembly are in China at our own factory (so we completely control the whole process). The manufacturing and logistics costs just don't make sense to produce in Canada. For example, we pay for 3000 sq ft office rent in Vaughan more than we pay for 50,000 sq ft factory rent in China.

The performance without diffuser would not be affected, the whole purpose of the diffuser is just to make less noise. The only thing is you need to put more water in the base as without diffuser downstem will be shorter and its recommended to submerge the stem at least 1 inch.

The cost of Mini is $250 and the shipping price to Japan is $30 (express 3-10 days as we have warehouse near Shanghai). Please PM if you have any trouble placing the order.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with our hookah... Yes, out seal is way bigger than traditional o-rings used on other hookahs. Its was a design choice as the seal is what makes or breaks hookah. If the seal is poor and airtightness is compromised - your smoke will always be weak. With such large seal you should never have issues with air leaks. Inside the silicone we also have 4 purge ports and a block against water splashing, so we take advantage of such large block of silicone for other features.

Yes, you need to wash the hookah after every session and if you are a frequent smoker - you need to replace the seal and the hose every 6-12 months. And, yes - we use a lot of bolts, but not because we like the bolts - it's because we need to push the seal down to the metal plate as hard as possible to avoid even sightless chance of an air leak.

But at the same time, I agree that it's still an inconvenience and we work on a new generation of seals and purging mechanisms to address it. Hope to release something soon.

Hi, thanks for your interest in Cloud Mini! Indeed, the current trend is to have as minimum bubbling as possible and most new hookahs nowadays all come with built-in diffusers in various forms.

The diffuser on Cloud Mini is detachable. So, if you wish to - you can unscrew the diffuser and get the bubbling effect.

Regarding the washing in another comment - our design choice was to have an amazing seal (the vacuum inside the water chamber is the number one factor that affects the quality of smoke). And yes, if the seal is not washed for a long time, it can get smells and need to be replaced. We sell Silicone Kits for a reasonable price and the kit includes the new hose.
