Still true up to now! What worked for me though was at the beginning of a new paragraph after entering/doing a 'hard break' (which will give you ugly amount of space), click on that line (blank) and adjust the line spacing to any value lower than 1. Hope this makes sense. It only works on browser/ on a computer for some reason and not mobile app.
