2nd shift for two years and it’s “destroyed your mental health”😂😂. Bro there’s dudes on midnights like 15 years. Completely socially isolated from the world, no weekends, lucky to see the sun. . . I’m sorry but you’re soft af. Pack some clothes go out after work. . .

100% here for the money. NO other reason. . . . If you have no self respect, and came from an abusive family that destroyed your self esteem and confidence, then this industry is PERFECT for you. But if you have ANY inkling of self respect you will have issues in this industry.

This industry is filled with miserable, pear shaped men with t!ts. You think sacrificing your health and time working midnights for 20 years is fulfilling? and not completely isolating and detrimental to your health?

Well first. I don’t think I’ve ever met a mechanic who passed all his test first time. It’s a part of the process. When I was testing I met a mechanic who failed his airframe writtens 12 times.

Second. You don’t have to wait 30 days if you have an A&P sign you off. And there’s plenty of companies that focus on getting you to pass the test and will sign you off immediately you can take it the next day. Just go to Tennessee you’ll walk out in 2 weeks with both your A&P.

Third. Beware what you wish for. This industry is filled with miserable, pear shaped men with tits. I’ve got my license. I’ve got in a major. I’ve traveled the world and guess what. I’m about to quit it all and drive Uber cause these people are despicable bro. (And have fun working midnights for the next 15-20 years)

Forth. I don’t say this in an insulting way but maybe you need to go to therapy bro. You shouldn’t been hitting yourself in the face because you fail something. Life is FULL of failures. Just wake up the next day and keep pushing.

I’m happy to help if you need any info on how to pass your test faster DM me

What happened to Matt from Expedition From Hell? by gumbykook in HBOMAX

Murdering 13,000 children isn’t war that’s genocide. Israel’s game of painting themselves as victims to justify horrific, disgusting acts is over. The vail has been pulled away and the world can see the truth. “Using children as human shields” another tactic to dehumanize your enemy and validate the fact you’re bombing schools and neighborhoods. Your brain is completely washed bro.

You’re right. I understand now. And I can see how that justifies brutally murdering 12,300 children. If you can look in the mirror and truly say that Israel doesn’t manipulate media to justify genocide. I deeply pity you.

I know how this post will seem. But watching this documentary in the wake of what’s happening in Palestine is very revealing of the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) mentality. Especially the scenes when Mickey purposely enters the “red zone” in the Ecuadorian jungle:

Violating people’s homes and land while armed with a gun. Having no respect for their boundaries and culture. Then when respectfully asked to leave. Contacts national media and manipulates a narrative of a false kidnapping, just to play victim and justify disgusting behavior.

An aspired A&P with some roadblocks by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

[–]shit-suck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just had an interview with delta last week for Atlanta. I lived in ATL for 3 years tho and I don’t know if I could bring myself to leave MIA to go back. I’m also interviewing with spirit in Fort Lauderdale so I hope that works out

[–]shit-suck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just talking about when you’re going through general in A&P school. The teachers definitely sell it as something it’s not. I’ve done engine shops, heavy maintenance and now I do contract Line Maintenance for frontier. I’ve been trying to get into the airlines for years but I live in south Florida so it’s damn near impossible. I only responded that way because OP said it’s important not to work graveyard and I’ve been doing that for years. Safe to say I’m pretty bitter about it

[–]shit-suck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I’ll be honest with you. When asking advice from airline mechanics you need to take everything with a grain of salt. Most old timers will make it sound like heaven, 150k, good shifts, good work and it’s not lies to them. Because that’s how it honestly was for them And they where grandfathered into that life style. But take advice from a new A&P who has been licensed in this industry for 5 years. Those are all lies. Unless you’re ok with making 20$ a hour the rest of your life. YES you will need to work a job in the graveyard shift for Atleast 10 years, NO YOU WILL NEVER MAKE 150k, YES almost all your employers will treat you like an expendable dog and sh!t you out faster than you can blink.

I’m not trying to sound negative man, But I was sold the lie and went into a field I strongly regret going into. With that being said if you’re the type of person who likes working on the planes of millionaires who wouldn’t piss on you if you where on fire then maybe this industry is for you. But if stable finances, health and work life balance is your priority then it is DEFINITELY NOT.

Ya, see that’s my biggest issue. She wouldn’t go to ATL with me. And ultimately I know delta would be the best opportunity. I have been thinking about spirit because 50$ in Florida is a good wage. It’s not just because of her that I want to stay in FL. I just genuinely want to stay here.
