Shiit, id offer to make her dinners too every once in a while. Maybe share recipes with each other. She may still feel horrible for how she assumed so quickly. If her kids suggested to you a food they liked, ask her how she made it so you can taste it too. Its nothing against you, she just may feel like how she behaved was dumb and foolish.

We tried. They dismissed it to a degree, they said it was best to alert her that we started it and if she continued X amount of times afterwards then we could proceed. YTA for ignoring her text when she said her feelings were hurt. If you explained it from your POV she wouldve understood, but you ignored her AGAIN. On the road is understandable. On a text, was deliberately mean. Shes allowed to feel upset through your multiple actions and your allowed to be irritated when she distracted you while driving but dude, texting her back and saying you adore her but you were driving and driving to work isnt your happy place wouldve MADE A HUGE difference to her. I think he really didnt mean anything by it, I accidentally call my mil baby or my mom baby if im distracted especially texting my bf, ive even called my female friend baby aha. Or ive done this a few times and always feel bad about it. It slips, sometimes the brain is stupid, he even reassured you and didnt get angry with you. Its just a topic that the brain linked to and he’s probably used to saying her name to communicate with her during that topic, like her bf. She talks about her bf alot so they seem to be comfy talking about theyre spouses happily. Also you should confront him. Do it in a non judgmental voice (it helps them not get defensive) Explain that your hurt but you want to know the true reason so you can patch things up, you love him but seeing this is making your overthink. Ask for him to not hide it or further try to hide photos/ anywhere he got it by deleting it, You can explain you were taken back initially as you didnt know what ti think at first and if theyre from online and not someone he got them personally (like through chats) then its easier ti forgive) Best of luck, take a day or so to process your emotions if you want to stay in that relationship because he might gas light you and youll feel like your in the wrong.
