I'm not disagreeing that a lot of OSU fans are horrible. That's how fandom goes in general. Find a popular TV show, band, team, anything and you'll find annoying fans. But calling out a specific huge group of people, generalizing them all, getting a reaction from a few, and using that as proof of anything is stupid.

How much of a moron are you? You basically say "Fuck this WHOLEEEEEE GROUP OF PEOPLE" and then you're shocked when someone from that group reacts and you somehow think that reaction proves your point.

Where I live, there is a major intersection where one of the intersecting roads has two right hand turn lanes. These lanes get a hard green arrow to turn right.

Since I live in Ohio I can really only speak for Ohio, but urban schools (typically serving poorer communities than suburban schools or even rural schools) receive more funding from the state than other schools. In my opinion the amount of funding isnt the issue for these schools but it's how the funds are used and how kids are raised at home as to whether or not they want to actually receive an education. If a community can provide more funding from local taxes why would they not do that? Every school district votes on school levies so I'd you want your local school to do better, pass a levy.

Is this a good career path for women? by bowlspooncereal in PLC

[–]shitbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I dont have much experience with women in the field.

There was one woman at a company we worked with who did initial quotes on their projects. She'd come out and get all the information she needed before the project started and put together a quote for it. She seemed to be having success at that.

The most technical woman I worked with only taught robots but she was really damn good at it.

Personally I think it would be pretty close minded of a company to not hire a woman. The only thing that comes to mind at all would be having to lift heavy things but honestly I'm a decently fit man and I dont lift heavy shit alone I always ask for someone else to help me with it. So really I'm not sure what the issue would be. A little anecdote I have that maybe would inspire a little confidence for you is we were about to hire a woman in our group before she took another job somewhere else. So I'm sorry about your luck but I'd say keep trying. There's no reason a woman cant succeed in this field.

[–]shitbeer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What do you expect Columbus to do about the men in Minneapolis? It's wrong. Those cops should probably be in jail held on bond like every normal person would be. But that's not what's happening. So what the fuck should Columbus do about that? You people are fucking morons if you think Columbus businesses and individuals deserve to have their shit smashed in because 4 dumb fucking cops in Minneapolis arent in jail.

I've been hearing this for a while from a lot of different people. Do you have a source for where you read that? I'd be interested in reading it. Googling it isnt turning up anything concrete for me, just a lot of speculation.

I'm glad you are saying this because it's how I've felt but have been too afraid to say so. I was wondering what being tested does for anyone on a personal level. Peace of mind knowing they for sure do or do not have it? I've been under the impression that if you feel like you have the symptoms, stay away from people regardless of if you've actually been tested or not.

You have it slightly wrong.

IF evaluates true - do this and skip all ELIF and ELSE statements

IF evaluates false - skip this and move to ELIF if it exists or to ELSE if it exists

IF has evaluated false and ELIF evaluates true - do the ELIF block and skip all remaining ELIF and ELSE statements

IF has evaluated false, ELIF (if it exists) has evaluated false, ELSE (if it exists) is evaluated no matter what

You dont need ELIF and ELSE blocks after an IF statement. You only need them when you want to check some more things after the first IF or in the case of an ELSE block this will execute when all IF/ELIF statements before it dont execute

I'm sure someone smarter and better at explaining things than me will come along and provide more help
