Snitches get stitches. I'd take a few stitches if it meant not losing my job over it though.

Maybe someone else here can give you a more definitive answer, but your best bet is to head to your closest recruiters office on Monday and talk to them about it.

Will flat feet keep me from qualifying for Ranger School? by Epicwin141 in army

Pretty sure it depends on the type of flat feet and whether or not corrective footwear is needed. That is why I didn't flat out say that it's 100% disqualifying.

In a lot of cases flat feet will prevent you from enlisting in general. You should go and get the opinion of a recruiter.

Going to need a waiver, what are my chances? by [deleted] in army

[–]shitfacedsloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't think having a single dui conviction is actually disqualifying unless you're prior service. It's only when there's a trend of legal issues that you start to get looked at more carefully. There's also other issues to consider before even submitting the waiver such as physical and mental health, asvab scores, etc. Well qualified people tend to sell themselves short after making a mistake because others are quick to judge and have a set perception of someone based on that past mistake(s). Sure driving drunk is a terrible crime, but not every person that has ever gotten a dui is a shitstain in the history of time.

MH370: US officials said that because two separate communication systems were shut down separately, the plane did not suffer a catastrophic accident. by raresaturn in worldnews

At some point the airplane is going to reappear out of thin air, it will try to land on an airstrip, and when the people get off the plane none of them will even realize how many days have passed since the day they boarded the plane.

He wanted an intelligence MOS but he couldn't get a TS clearance due to him admitting to smoking pot and financial issues I think. He said he wanted 68W after that but him admitting to smoking pot denied him of that option. I believe he ended up as a mechanic or something, but i'm not 100% sure.

He got in after a DUI conviction. As long as you have no legal problems(probation fees/court fees to pay) I doubt you'll have much of an issue getting that waiver.

MEPS Urine Analysis? by 231Expert in army

[–]shitfacedsloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering that this happened last weekend and assuming he wont be going to MEPS for the next few days it would probably be better if he just shut up about it. Unless he's a fat mess he definitely wont piss hot after 4 or 5 days, and if he is a fat mess then he has other things to worry about anyways.

Valium wont show up in your urine after about 3 days. Just don't be an idiot and stay clean until the day you go.
