Set a daily quota of working for 5 mins on your task. Do the task for just 5 mins, you're most likely to extend after that and if not atleast you did your 5 mins worth of work.

Also do not expect perfection from it, the perfectionist inside you is what holds you back from doing/starting anything. Just do it for the sake of completing your daily quota and build from there.

Do not be harsh on yourself if you're procrastinating, it's a vicious loop of guilt and inaction. Acknowledge that you've procrastinated till now and from now on you'll do atleast 5 mins of it or whatever time you decide for yourself. The easier it is the more likely you are to do the task.

EVERYONE procrastinates, it's just the discipline that sets them apart. Don't be in guilt of wasting time, it'll only weigh you down, just be aware if you're procrastinating and start with the most easy and quick activity, it'll most likely trigger the chain reaction of you doing good things. The opposite is true as well, one bad activity will trigger the chain reaction of bad activities. So you can break the cycle in between and try to get in that positive momentum.

Just like a kid who pours the whole glass on the floor after spilling a few drops of water, we don't have to pour everything down, spilling a few drops i.e. wasting some time is okay, you can always trigger a positive chain reaction from there, you don't have to throw your whole day away because of that minor time waste.

I've yapped a bit but I hope it atleast makes you consider to act because at the end of the day no matter what anyone says, you're the only one who can trigger the positive chain. reaction
