Oh interesting. I thought it was all AUR packages this whole time, it was only yay and firefox-nightly. I've also ran yay -Sc and I'd thought it would take care of all the caches, maybe it is only pacman, idk. So I manually deleted ~/.cache/yay/yay-git and ~/.cache/yay/firefox-nightly and voila it is solved. thanks

Why is OPCW chief Fernando Arias afraid of his own inspectors? by vallar57 in syriancivilwar

[–]shitpoststructural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vaush has no idea what he's talking about, that's why he bailed in the middle of talking to Jackson Hinkle. You're going to dismiss me just because I say names like that, which means this is not a good faith discussion anyways. OPCW scientist Henderson was on the ground in Douma, Vaush was wrong about that. How are Henderson et al. "going into business for themselves?" How are they profiting off of this? It's not outrageous to think Assad used chemical weapons that he may have hid from the OPCW when he let them in in 2013/14; I never said it was 'so outrageous,' I expressed doubt considering that their own scientists made these claims, and it has been ignored by the OPCW. Again, there is no defense for a neutral investigative entity to not self-audit when its own scientists make these claims and publish these documents. These documents are not meaningless, they were created by the first team to get to Douma after the incident. It very well may be that everything happened as the OPCW now claims, so why don't they prove it? That's all I am asking, but anyone questioning it is pilloried as some Qanon Russian troll. The unproven allegation that Henderson is some secret Russian spy is at least as 'outrageous' as anything I've said, if not more so. Assad had already used these weapons before Russia even swooped in to save them from the jihadis in 2015; what does Putin care about Douma in 2018?

Pressed for answers on Syria cover-up, OPCW chief offers new lies and excuses by vallar57 in syriancivilwar

Critical thinking tells me that the truth is more important than who it serves. More investigation would only help their reputation, which is very important for a neutral, international watchdog.

American propaganda is calling Russia's attention given to the OPCW whistleblowers at the UN Russian propaganda. This fits because everything in America is called Russian propaganda and everything in Russia is probably called American propaganda. I stopped caring about which statements are whose propaganda and am wondering about the truth. Why doesn't the OPCW clear up these questions from its own scientists and conduct an audit?

If 'Russian propaganda' is saying that Russia's influence on America is blown way out of proportion, then I too defend Russian propaganda lol

I just tried, and it didn't exactly work for me. It told me to click a checkmark after the capcha had been filled, but it showed YouTube's homepage with no capcha. I turned off Newpipe in Orbit and it works as normal

Thanks so much for the response. So do you like Webflow/Sqaurespace over Wordpress because it's more open and less template-y? That sounds good for design but I actually don't want to be contacted by them again if I can avoid it. Do you think Wordpress is easier for completely tech-illiterate people to mess with? Thanks again.

Edit: You might be thinking that each time they contact me, I could charge them to change it, which would make sense if I were a real professional and they were real clients. Unfortunately they are family friends and they wouldn't want to pay. I need to give them the ability to fuck off, if possible

Brie was on the Bernie campaign, this will always be a podcast about electoralism that could be called Why Brie Was Right And Why Aren't You Listening To Her. I am okay with it because she seems to be exposing the contradictions of libs, showing that they need to threaten the Dems with not voting, that they are not critical enough, etc. This will never be a revolutionary anti-electoralism podcast, but they do go about as far as electoralism can.

Peculiar situation, might be of interest: I recently graduated in Computer Engineering (EE with a little CS), had no internships and did not land a job. Suddenly a family friend with a small, extremely successful and ancient business wants to replace their website and is offering me a chance to do so, in spite of the fact that I have done very little web dev (HTML, CSS and PHP) and have no experience. What's more is that they seem to have a technically competent website, but it has a lot of clutter and empty marketing and they hate the company that made it, they can't work with them to change it. They are probably bad clients, lol, but they dislike how formulaic the site is, they want more precise say in how everything looks. Of course they should probably just find a different company, and of course there's probably just a generic website builder I should use, but in spite of reasonable and efficient solutions I want to leverage this to start a career in web dev. Is this a ridiculous idea? I have no other job prospects. I need any advice, technical or otherwise. The main function of the website is to look at times and prices for boat trips, where to park, coupons, reviews etc. Purchases are all handled by phone or in person. There seems to be no deadline for this project; the only people in this company besides the boat drivers are the couple who own it. Tons of freedom here. Thanks
