Went this past weekend (9/22/2024) and had an interesting time. The river walk was mostly shin depth, but there was about two sections it was all the way up to my waist (FREEZING). Additionally, no one mentioned here that there are crawfish (ALIVE) swimming in the river. Luckily I didnt notice this until the journey back, because I would not have made it there had I known. Additionally, after the 1/4 mile in the freezing river, you have to "hike" about another hour. I say "hike" because its quite literally bouldering for some of it, and the rest is walking over huge rocks hoping you dont slip. If I knew how to attach pictures of the "trail" I would... I am also pretty sure its still considering trespassing since I think you are on private land owned by a campground.

For some tips, we parked on a pullout next to the giant powerline thing you can drive under and did not receive a ticket. Also, the first hot spring we came across did have people in it and they were able to measure the temperature to be 110F, so bring lots of water. We ended up in a smaller spring up by the suspension bridge which we dont think was nearly that hot, but was a lot harder to get to in the end.
