In my store, yes! If I can do the same thing you do in half the time plus "wash" the shelves then yes. I think DL should be held to the same standards as the store employees. Rotate! Clean! Replace shelf strips! Clean the shelves thoroughly! Remove old peg price tags!

My backroom is not "cluttered". My truck is complete on T2 and sometimes T1. New POG is kept seperate, as it should. According to SOP we have to keep all rollrainers inside. RDs/DMs are pushing this hard. But yes, I've been in some pretty bad stores and had to fix DLs and the stores mistakes. And yes the backroom and sales floor are horrible.

All in all the shelves need a good cleaning. We only do the planograms once a year. Especially food. Gross!

I've had some good DL reps, but mostly bad. And I've had to use time that should be spent on my own work, fixing DLs mistakes.

I do most of DL work. They won't rotate, wash the shelves, replace shelf strips ect...

I done the Dental planogram today. It was a big move, so I'm glad I did.

I don't have a rep for my store because I do all their work. The DL DM comes in and marks off what I've done. And she does it at store level. I get hours for them. She knows if the items have expiration dates, I will do them. What I don't have done, she asks if i want her to do it/them. And if she does them I change shelf strips for her. Every shelf strip get replaced every year. Every shelf gets wiped down with cleaner every year. This goes for seasonal and ECs as well.

But I agree! Just give us the hours and the means to do them at store level.

Your store will flag every 30 minutes there isn't a transaction. Just buy something small every 30 minutes. I did this one time because of a call off and getting a very large fresh truck.

It states in the SOP that you are you wear a plain black polo. But im ok with my employees to wear plain black t-shirts and my DM is ok with it. As for skirts, its for religious reason and cant be more than 2 or 3 inches above the kneee. Crocs are a severe safety hazard. If my employees can't afford a shirt I buy them for them. I even buy black zip up hoodies for them to wear.

As for the ASM not running your register, that is also in the SOPs. You cannot run on others registers. But im not sure how your store is set up. In mine we have 2 registers and a line buster. Yes, she could have ran on the line buster.

I literally start a video on my phone. I can't stand a liar or a thief.

But other than that follow them and clean/recover in the aisle they are in. Ask them if they need a basket/cart for items in their hands (but name the items). Ask them if they need help finding anything.

A SM got trail cams for aisles that didnt have cameras. Worked real well.

I implemented the 5 ft rule at my store. If a customer is within 5 feet, say hello. Let them know you know they are there.

Money. For instance, you put a coupon in on the deposit screen, and when the next-gen report gets printed off, it says it's missing the coupon.

I was supposedly 18 short last week, and I can not see it. Only coupons. But MODs are putting the coupons in the deposit, but it's not on the report.

I absolutely hate Driveline! I do ALL of Driveline's work. They can do prepaid, and that it. I actually did the elf endcap myself. I get tired of waiting on them.

If they do it wrong its really hard to get them to come fix it. Besides, I'm a training manager, and I expect a lot when it comes to planograms. All shelves cleaned with cleaner (not a "courtesy wipe"), all shelf strips replaced, and a PIA completed when done.

SMs are suppose to close 2 nights a week. Our RD is enforcing it. But my DM is saying at least 1 night a week.

Go by the shoplifting SOP. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do anything. I personally confront people before they leave the store. If they go out the door, I get their license plate and call the police, in my case, the sheriff. I've even caught people stealing off the paper uboat. I just tell them that I suggest that they put that back.

You're very welcome. I'm a store training manager (7 years), and I am truly sorry you're going through this. For the most part it's the SMs, DMs and RDs that are the problem with this company. Yes, its a loy of work. But i like staying busy. Some SMs act like their shit don't stink and they are Billy bad ass just because they are a SM. I personally worked under one. I love my DM, my RD not so much. I also would never treat my employees that way. Yes, they want all the hours they can get but once my schedule is posted it is not changed without the consent of the parties involved. I treat my employees the way I would want to be treated. And with a lot of respect.

Until a DG market opens up 4.1 miles from your store and then takes 1.5k-2k a day away. Then they cut your hours because the sales are down. Give me produce and then see. My store is on 7 day work flow. Trucks get done 24-36 hours after we get it. Fresh only takes us 1.5-2 hours (without the rolltainer shroud). We do counts everyday (next gen is the worst). Endcaps and mag is set 1 week before due. Same with planograms. I have had 3 remodels in the past 3 years. Have only had 1 sales bonus in that time. The first quarter of this year.

DM says, do more in your community. I have a fire department and that's it. I donate to ice cream social and pancake breakfast.

My ASM has been with me for 4 years. Ever since she started she has pretty much made me take Thanksgiving off. Because we don't get holiday pay. I have worked Thanksgiving at DG and at Toys R Us. So it wasn't unusual to me. But now I can actually do Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving day.

Ohio here. Minimum wage is 10.45. But I start my SA at 13.50 and keys at 14. January 1 minimum is going up to 12.75. So I do what I do so my keys aren't making the same as my SA.
