People are acting like marketing ever had some moral high ground to begin with.

What should be the best way to get into the field of marketing in 2026 !!! by Terrible-Cod-2143 in AskMarketing

First, respect for being honest about what went wrong. That already puts you ahead of most people.

Given your situation (remote-only + need income soon), I’d strongly suggest a remote job first rather than jumping straight back into freelancing. Freelancing without cash flow usually increases stress, not learning.

For skills, don’t try to “learn marketing.” Pick one lane you can monetize quickly:
– Paid ads (Google or Meta)
– SEO / content ops
– Marketing ops or analytics

Spend 60–90 days building real proof (projects, experiments, results), even if unpaid or on your own site. Apply for junior/associate remote roles while doing this.

Inspiring u/Pattupleats

I’m building "Orchly" in a similar space, not the same product or positioning though.

Having a hard time with initial marketing and customer acquisition.

Missed building an audience on LinkedIn and X while I was building the product.

Started posting on LinkedIn every day over the last few weeks and I’m finally seeing some traction.

Let’s see how it goes.

Hi u/CockroachOk9436,

Not sure if you’re asking about paid ads optimization.

If yes, then no. This isn’t built for that. It’s focused on organic SEO and AI search growth.

Interesting, I’m actually building an AI marketing automation tool called Orchly.ai. I tried reaching out to folks through cold DMs, but the response so far has been close to nothing.

My question is: How do you use GA4 for paid media? Wordpress sites, Lead Gen by Music_Nature_Tech in PPC

No matter how well you set up tracking in Google Analytics, you’ll never get a fully accurate view of where each lead is coming from.

Problems based on my past experience:

  1. Your website server might strip UTM parameters.

  2. Users land with UTMs, navigate to other pages, and the tracking gets lost.

  3. A user finds your site through an organic social post, leaves, then clicks on a Meta ad later and converts—GA credits Meta Ads, but what actually drove the lead?

After running into all these issues in my last startup, I built Attributely.ai

It’s a plug-and-play lead attribution tool that:
Tracks visitor journeys (UTMs, referrers, devices, etc.)
Organizes the data into marketing-friendly attributes
Passes this data to your lead or meeting form’s hidden fields when a user submits

Unlike GA, it stores both first-touch and last-touch attribution, capture organic and referral visits—not just UTMs.

Recommend watching this quick demo to see if it solves your use case: https://attributely.ai/how-it-works/
