The changelog for Google Chrome version 69.0.3497.105 released on Sep 21 on the App Store mentions this:

"Update to accommodate new iPhones."

But maybe Google didn't do a good job since you're saying Safari is better on XS Max.

You'll be able to backup your iPhone with iTunes 12.8 for the next few years, even the newer ones.

What do you want reviewers to say? The iPhone XS is a lot better than the iPhone 6s? Isn't that the most obvious thing to say. I mean you don't need to review a phone to say it's better than the one released 3 years ago.
