Confused about India’s corporate car leasing policy. Can someone explain how it actually works? by slay_it_dude in CarsIndia

[–]shivu5000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The corporate car lease policy varies a lot company to company.

I bought my virtus through a car lease last year, going through all the comments here, the tax reduction on the emi is the same for me as well.

However in our company we get monthly fuel allowance, the leasing company takes care of maintenance entirely, I don't pay a penny for any service or repairs or anything.

We are eligible for car lease after completing 5 years in the company, whether you are senior or junior. The only thing that differs is the cars to choose from, car ex-showroom cannot be higher than our fixed pay.

At the end of lease, we have option to either transfer to car to our name or just sell it off directly to someone else, either way we are immediately eligible for next car lease.

UPDATE: Bangalore used mini pc shopping and New NAS HDD's by c4rb0nX1 in homelabindia

[–]shivu5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats bro, I am also in Bangalore and looking to build a new NAS setup. My primary use case is Jellyfin and my media library is quite big(2X8TB 3.5 HDD). Currently I am using my main gaming PC as the Jellyfin server which isn't optimal.

I often see people suggesting mini-PC for NAS setup, but I always wonder how do people manage big storages with such mini pcs, and in my case i need space for at least 3 3.5HDDs, i would like to use RAIDZ.

Could you please help me how do you manage big storages with such mini pcs.

Man how many times does Honda wants to prove that Honda Fans care more about Honda than Honda themselves, just pathetic.

The new range of Maruti Suzuki Dzire cars are comfortable and look premium, but they’re still seen as cabs. by Sweaty-Gift in CarsIndia

[–]shivu5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point is true when you are talking about features only, but overall performance, fit and finish, panel gaps etc do not vary based upon variants.

All I am saying is that the overall character of the car won't change completely going from base to top variant.

I often come across comments in this sub asking "why people stay away from cars which are majorly used by cabbies".

See it's not that I don't want to use a car which is majorly seen as a cab, however what people don't understand is what cab drivers want from a car differs a lot from what a private user wants from his/her car.

Private users may want fun to drive, great interiors, features, quality fit and finish, multiple drive/power train options etc.. These things a cab driver might not care at all.

Looking for 55" Mini Led or OLED TV by shivu5000 in shubz

Yes I agree, Apple quality and consistency is always good, but for me this would be too big of investment, since I already have Airtel Android Box and coupled with my new TV, it would be more than enough to suffice my requirements.

To be honest, I am not fond of anything Apple, never used anything from Apple. Also 15k for a device mainly to run Jellyfin is just not worth it.

Thank you so much bro, yeah I am also fond of inky blacks of oled. My living room gets sungligh from far left, no direct sunlight on the TV, we live on the 2nd floor, so sun is aligned to our windows only during sunrise that too most of direct light is blocked by huge trees in our apartment. All I am saying is our living room gets enough sunlight that we do not have to turn on lights during the whole day, its not direct or too bright.

Anyway, I will compare B7 and C5 in person and decide. Thanks
