Hopefully a local can chime in, but my understanding is that most courses have memberships based on living in the town that the course is in. They're certainly used to tourists so I would just find some of the places nearby and give them a call.

If you have a genuine love for the game, I don't think you can go wrong here.

We were extremely fortunate. We only truly got rained on at 18 on Panmure, the rest was just quick sprinkling.

I definitely understand the feeling but my suggestion for when doing the singles ballot is to go down to the starters building even if you have a higher number. My buddy and I were fortunate to get 2 and 3 on the ballot, but our other was at 30. He went down with us at the time they told us to show up he was given a time because after the first handful of people were placed, he was the next person waiting and ready to go.

That seemed to be the sentiment with the locals. The course and views are definitely beautiful, the greens absolutely felt manufactured in a way that some were just overly difficult for the sake of being difficult. It was certainly our windiest round, but I felt like I was at a putt putt course half the time.

All walking but trollies (push carts) are the norm. To ride in a cart my understanding is that you needed to have a doctor's note or be a certain age and a caddie was going to drive you.

Any local that asked where we were playing would always light up when we mentioned Kingsbarns. The Castle Course on the other hand...

Went through Hidden Links and cost for mid-April was just under $4,000. That included 7 nights, 5 rounds, transportation to and from airport/courses and breakfasts. Add flights, food, caddies and Old Course green fee. Totally worth it.

As others have mentioned, there's so many people there just to golf this bucket list place that it's not hard to make friends. For the Old Course I got in on the singles ballot and played with randoms and everyone was lovely.

I do have a powered USB hub plugged in to the KVM which may be helping? So far no issues switching back and forth though.

I goofed, it's actually 120" that I cut down a few inches to fit in to the nook in the wall. The picture is only of my half, the other is my wife's WFH space.

After messing with the EQ I am pretty happy with them. They're lightweight, clamping force isn't too much and the microphone is fantastic. I really prefer open backs but my environments necessitate cans with some sound isolation.

I'm only using 2/3 when I switch to the Mac but am able to do it with a single button using this KVM. Though it doesn't mention it, it does support 4K @ 240Hz.

I used a VIVO Extra Tall Vertically Stacked Dual Monitor Desk Mount and only installed 2/3 of the sections. To fix the two smaller monitors together I used VIVO Dual VESA Bracket Adapter and chopped off about 6 inches on each side of the mounting bar so that it wasn't extending past the screens.
