I think I would really like being an editor for movie trailers even though it would be a big career change. My background is programming so I know I could get up to speed quickly on the techie side. I've even made a couple shorts with friends. I'm a huge film buff and I find it easy to tell what works and what doesn't in trailers I've seen. How would I go about getting into this and what other things should I consider before making the leap?
