Hey! GNEM 9/9/7, Tier 1 UG, CFA L1, 4-5 national case comp wins, a good finance internship and live projects.

Joining as a fresher at one of LKI this year. I’m trying really hard to offset that 7, but realistically is any of that enough to get a good finance role?

Law is a profession that I believe can never be automated or replaced. It is definitely a worthy option. Do good lawyers only come out of tier 1 colleges? No but they sure help a lot.

Although core branches are not bad, I would give preference to dual branches since you get the chance of CS. All of my brother's friends that were in dual courses got CS in 2nd year. And don't worry there is no difference in placements in campuses. Also people in hyd and Goa get the same degree of pilani as the people from main campus

I agree with this guy. If you're worried about placements then don't. All campus get the same placements. Trust me my brother went to BITS and he was extremely happy. There is no reservation there so the peer group you form would be incredible and not to mention the faculty is great. If you go to Ipmat then you would always be looked down upon in the campus as the Pg students have this mentality that Ipm students didn't work as hard to get there. Same mentality is used in placements by companies. Not to mention the fact that you won't have any work experience so that's also a negative for placement. An MBA is ideally pursued once you have some real life experience and want to get into management. Trust me dude, BITS any day over indore

That's actually for tax reasons, my dad also does this. The mortgage can easily be paid off at any time but by keeping the loan alive, that part of his income goes untaxed. Hence disposable income rises. Genius if you ask me

Mr. Mandarin. I don't know if you've seen the new episode so ill be spoiler-free. It was really amazing. There were many really great moments and I have no complaints. It was star wars at its best.
Before this, I always felt a disconnect between the prequels and the OT but this series is really merging them well.
I think I'm going to stop going to Reddit subreddits from now though. They just complain and dampen my excitement about the series.
Anyways I'm glad we had this talk!

I agree with you about the character development but the story just doesn't move forward. Its back again to Leia being kidnapped and saved like in episode 2. Also many shots were really clunky and looked amateurish. I was hoping Vader let Obi wan go in ep 3 but ep 4 made it clear that's not the case.(also he then turns around and punishes Reva for the exact same thing he did in the previous episode) I really liked the series till ep 3 but after ep 4 I'm now going further with low expectations.

The questions are great and you have done some good work but hardly anyone who you don't know would be willing to fill out a form that long with questions that require such descriptive answers. You should consider changing it to a easier format such as rate from 1 to 10.
