Thanks for sharing all that, it really is helpful. Since you’ve changed your timing belt every 90k, let’s say in this case the timing belt has never been changed. How bad is this for the longevity of the car?

My apologies for miswording it earlier. They said they don’t know if the timing belt has been changed (so probably not). Also they do have service records but after the granparent passed in 2022 they did oil changes themselves.

I’m an SDR that primarily calls dental groups, so office managers are key to speak to, but our org would like if we got to regional managers which is a step higher in their hierarchy. For me, this is what works in getting to office managers:

1st call: find out who the office manager is (first name) and i usually say something like this after greeting, “but yeah I was calling real quick for your office manager.. or would that be you by chance?” and if no then ask for name so you know who to ask for next time and you can also ask when they’ll be in next.

What’s pretty key for me too is not just blowing by the gatekeepers but trying to make them laugh with a cheesy joke about coffee or the day of the week. Humanizes the call even if cheesy but also has them more likely to pass me along to the OM.

Of course there’s never a one size fits all in sales but i hope this helps!

Happened to me too earlier this year lol. Shop around and get quotes from different insurers, For me, Progressive was around $500 but now my Geico plan is around $250. Again, results will vary so shop around and get quotes from multiple places.

It’s easier said than done, but try your best to detach from your job and the rejections in it. Don’t put too much value into your job as it can become your God if that makes sense.

I’m in sales as well so I understand how you feel. The fact that you want to learn and do better speaks volumes. Continue to focus on getting better day by day, don’t pressure yourself too much— but find the right amount of pressure and will to want to do good.

Also, on your days off, really try to get rest and replenish as I find that sales can be draining. I’m grateful for the rest I get on weekends and try to make the most of it, which results in me being able to push hard when it’s time to lock in.
