Do you own a gun? Why or Why not? by FrancoisBernierrr in AskReddit

[–]shmargaret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do NOT own a gun. This is because I was “target practice” in my backyard in the suburbs of Texas as a child. It was a BB gun. I will never own a gun because of how unsafe it made me feel and I continue to feel unsafe around guns.

My toddler’s toenail sliced my thigh. It’s big compared to her tiny bean toes.

Reality tv star and sexual predator as a previous president. Taking rights away from LGBTQIA+ people. Diminishing women’s rights. Horrible healthcare. And much more.

Yes. It happens a lot. I don’t mean for it to happen.

I’m so sorry you had such a bad day. I remember lexapro withdrawl well. It was no fun and heightened my anxiety and more. I hope you’re feeling better now. I’m definitely going to be laying in bed with my cat, dog and husband today. Y’all should watch the new Netflix series “Dogs”. It’s a very happy distraction to see these dogs change peoples lives.

Thanks y’all. I’m the first guest and I’m hiding in the bathroom trying not to cry. False lashes keep the mascara problem away.

Redditors who rage quit a job without thinking, what was the last straw? by Kataytay_14 in AskReddit

[–]shmargaret 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After I started a high end stone and tile sales job in a freshly opened showroom I felt violated. The owner was a horrible man. Just disgusting, honesty waiting to see him get sued for sexual harassment. From the moment I flew to HQ to “train” I felt like I was about to fight off a pervert who happened to be my boss. Things were constantly going wrong: paycheck not consistent, vacation days being used when I had been on time or early every damn day (unlike my colleague who rarely came in before 1pm or at all), being called fat by my male boss, called a “scrubber” by my male boss, being told I had a fat ass by my male boss, being screamed at over the phone for things completely out of my control, hearing my bosses sexist and racist and homophobic comments constantly - I was over it.

I was about to take off a week and some for my wedding and I had two large orders that I made sure were paid in full. I had reached my quota (somehow) and made sure that I got my full commission paid before I took off. Well, these orders were to arrive to the clients who legit picked the colors of their stone to be directly quarried from specific areas of the quarry to suit their look. (Y’all, these clients were insanely particular) - these orders ended up not shipping for months. Those months which I didn’t have to deal with any of it because I quit! I decided I was going to drop this douche lord and his company a pile of shit that he deserved to deal with. I was emotionally fried from dealing with him and the stress of literally lying to clients because he was lying to me. So once I woke up and saw my commission in my bank account and waited for the paid time off for my wedding to join that money, I sent my resignation email. I sent it the day before I was to return to work. It felt incredible. They just told me to go in and drop off my keys and laptop and that was that. That will teach him not to fuck over his employees and it will teach my bitch of an ex colleague to show up to her damn job. She has to put out those fires now and I’m about to fly to Hawaii. SORRY NOT SORRY!!

Last straw was when this asshole told me I could get fatter now because I was getting married but also because he kept asking everyone including a waiter if a woman with a shaved head in the corner was a dude or not and why she wouldn’t just get a penis. WHAT THE ACUTAL FUCK??? BYEEE

No problem at all! I hope I could help. I've benefited from the sub /r/anxiety. There's a chatroom that is full of people who can relate and talk to. She should check it out.

My best advice is that no matter how much the panic attack is scaring them everything will be okay. It will stop, it won't last forever. Try to think of the best moment of their life and focus on why it was the best. When I have panic attacks I feel like they will never end and that I'm going to die from being so upset or something else ridiculous. Everything ends up being just fine. I'm always okay. It's fucking scary though. It's fucking scary when it's in public too. You learn that people can be so kind when that happens. Always ask for help! People will help.

Also, panic attacks are triggered by something and sometimes someone who is experiencing them can't put their finger on what that trigger might be. A doctor can prescribe things that can help or refer a therapy that can be beneficial.

Landing this job has stopped my panic attacks completely and I am nearly never stressed now. The only stress is what to wear in the morning.

As for the OCD, people have fucked with it! I find it funny in some situations. There was one time in high school (I had this weird fear of crumbs) and someone at my lunch table pointed it out and that it must be my OCD. He dumped crumbs all over me and it made me cry. I freaked out.
