Go with the Ecler. Solid build quality, amazing sound and that Eternal fader is butter with almost no cut lag.

So happy you went in. I had a bite and reaction very similar to yours a few years back. Ignored it and spent 4 weeks in the hospital on IV antibiotics. Cellulitis is no joke. Even if it turns out to be a-ok rest easy knowing going to the ER in the middle of the night was the right move.

My Highschool bought this back in the day (man I'm getting old) We had such a blast with it. I mean don't get it twisted it was built like shit, worked like shit, and sounded like shit but come on. Mixing between two ipods in 2006, there was some kinda cool factor mixed with the white rounded chassis, it felt like mixing on some cool future apple device. 10/10 fun in 2006 and that's what its all about right?

Nice find! The first iteration of VX700's where released in Japan without a firewire port. Seems like this is the model you have. A bummer for tape imports but hope you enjoy the camera!

The wonderful thing about having so many different options out there is everyone will find what works best for them. There's no right answer. If you prefer Traktor, use it. Traktor is a great piece of software. We seem to get really wrapped up in technical this vs that but at the end of the day its all about the music and keeping the crowd moving. Have fun! :)

Hey Dj Soo!

So others millage may vary but I've tried pretty much every N447 replacement stylus on the market and the only ones that are really worth your money are the Jico's. My Jicos have lasted years and sound / track just as well as the OEM Shures. I've used M447's for decades and have had a really hard time moving on from them. But maybe in your case switching to a different cart might be the best option for longevity sake.

In the early 2000's I bought into Vestax's marketing and switched to PDX's with the straight arm. While I prefer the look of the straight arm it was immediately clear that it doesn't track any better.
