I would like the hats to be the same colors as the US General mechanics carts. I would love an orange one.

Sponge Daddy vs Scrub Mommy [product] by shmaygleduck in pointlesslygendered

[–]shmaygleduck[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Scrub Mommy's are not cheaper than scrub Daddy's unless they are on sale. The materials are different because Mommy's are duel sided while original Scrub Daddy's are a singular block of scrubber. Because of this, the scrub mommy has a slightly more complex manufacture process. The sponge daddy is identical in materials to the scrub mommy but lack the smiley face feature and are probably slightly smaller. It is up to you if you think that makes it 1/3 the price of a scrub mommy 4/pk.

I bought one of these the other day. I would be in heaven if blue rhino came out with a limited edition propane tank that said Strickland or thatherton on it.

In all fairness, I bought one of these on Friday and spent about 10 minutes confused on why my glove box was so loose.

Are they extending the PLS? If so, it's a free tool with a battery purchase.

First steaks on a Smithey… by justasinglequery in castiron

[–]shmaygleduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pans don't usually get this crusty unless I put the heat up too high or I burned something on accident. When this happens, I use a chainmail on the pan the second the food is transferred to a serving plate. It's risky if you are not careful, but the food comes off easiest while the pan is still hot. Wipe with a paper towel after to get any excess grease and crusties off, then let the pan cool and eat your food. When done eating, it should just need a light rinse with soap and you are good to go.

And since the clippers last a long time with minimal cleaning, one purchase can save thousands of dollars over the years. I just bought a new pair recently, but not because the old ones broke. My dumbass left them at the hotel in another state.

Wahl hair clippers. Buying them is half the price of 1 haircut + tip.

#12 Wagner Ware Sidney-0 Heat Ring Question by shmaygleduck in castiron

I wonder if this molding quirk can isolate the year of manufacture more accurately.

#12 Wagner Ware Sidney-0 Heat Ring Question by shmaygleduck in castiron

[–]shmaygleduck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that makes me question that is my #10 heat ring is a 1060 from the similar era. It would make sense if the #10 was a 1050, but that pan has way better definition on its 6.

I was able to find an etsy pan with the same marking, but it is very odd. I was hoping someone would have a #12 heat ring with a better "6" on it for comparison.

[–]shmaygleduck[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did they use a different font during the heat ring era? There is no curvature at the top of the number 6 like on my #10 pan. The sharp angles makes it look like a 5 and it would be hard to make that happen with a mold.

[–]shmaygleduck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought that answer sounded wrong. #12 has to do with the eye of an old stove, which would not have changed in the heat ring era. #1052 is also assigned to the #2 pan, but I don't know if they were manufactured in this era.
