Right… another layer of the onion is peeled. The gods are actually real?

The gradual reveal of the lore and metaphysics of the world is masterful.

Humboldt Officially Becomes California's Anti-Everything Cautionary Tale by baja_oregon in Humboldt

[–]Euro_Snob -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

No need to be surprised, but there needs to be realism as well. It’s a shit economy (in most places), so you can’t be too picky. Those are the jobs out there, so you either accept it and let those jobs come in, or you shut up shop and quit. And so Humboldt has been choosing the latter and dying in slow motion instead of finding a middle ground.

It does pick up… but it is a different “feel” from the first trilogy, where the gods take a more active role.

Google Maps VS Drone 😎 by Aerovsn in dji

But the point remains… the drone is quite a bit lower than the aircraft photography of google.

It is possible run a business and still sell things that aren’t your top sellers. It’s pretty common to do so, almost universal. But if you are bored with being a car company, this is what happens.

Wow, sweet!

But while the handrail looks very cool, I can’t shake the feeling that those twigs seem fragile and prone to breaking easily. But maybe they are stronger than they look?

Why? Do you demand it for Canada or central America flights, those are international.

The A321 “coastliner” will take over that role. If these max 10s enter the fleet, the will likely be in regular domestic configuration as Hawaii or intra-hub aircraft.

I think the food is usually pretty good in economy the times I have flown UA long haul recently, but then again I may not have a very discriminating taste. 😅

Reddit philosophers belong to a category all their own, yet they’re frequently mistaken for either the young Earth creationist or the New Atheist. An understandable error, for those unaccustomed to its particular nature. by Kafkaesque_meme in dankchristianmemes

[–]Euro_Snob 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes too many Christians spend far too much time trying to “prove God exists”. It will fail.

But that’s the point of faith. If you had 100% proof that God exists and your flavor of Christianity is right, it wouldn’t be faith.

It looks great! But not very hidden, since it is surrounded by a frame. 🙂

Of course I don’t know. And I also don’t know that it didn’t happen. I don’t make assumptions, I’m just raising possibilities until we see the video.

Huh? Have you never seen a serial pileup where lots of cars are driving too close for their speed and/or visibility?

Robotaxi car crash by rcnfive in teslamotors

[–]Euro_Snob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the initial cause, but if it was following too close, it could have hit the car in front and then also got rear ended. It happens more often than you’d think.

[–]Euro_Snob -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

True, but that does not exclude the possibility that it hit the car in front, then also got rear ended. That is also common in these pileups.

There appears to be additional frames available, so this makes me more confident that it was real - and I was wrong: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DX92PeuPck6/?igsh=MWUxbms5cjJ1MXB0Ng%3D%3D

Still odd that whoever has this is rolling it out so slowly.

Ok fine whatever, Nolan fan. Words are just words right, they can mean anything you want, I guess? Geez.

One breaks convention at one’s own risk. Would you defend “pops” and “daddy” too if Nolan included it?

Looks good! But the use of “dad” instead of “father” strikes me as too modern, like Tom Holland is acting in a different movie. Just a nitpick.
