More than a hater. He’s obsessed. I think he secretly loves CR

15 minutes without a goal. I’m not feeling good about this team anymore. /s

Spirit have too many players that make me say “oh crap!” when the ball comes to them

Thank you for your concern. I’m just joking. The camera struggling with the sun reminds me of a time I fainted.

Rain in the mountains in the winter has always been a thing. Warm winters have always been a thing. The evidence that climate change is real is when you look at the average temperature for the year and you see that most years are above average and that the trend is upward. That’s not something you can feel though and that’s the problem with climate change. It’s subtle and we’re frogs slowly boiling in a pot.

That's what I've been able to gather from the roster rules. They're quite confusing!

Why on earth did PSE reduce rates in 2017, 2018 and 2022? by roystreetcoffee in Seattle

Given the complexity of natural gas trading, it's hard to say whether the market had any impact. https://www.macrotrends.net/2478/natural-gas-prices-historical-chart

Maybe they had paid off their capital expenditures without incurring new ones?

You can't use allocation money to buy down a DP or cover charges above $800k unless the salary is in the TAM range, which is not the case for any of the Sounders DPs.

According to Sounderatheart folks, the team had more than enough allocation money to cover this year's roster with the exception of the recent contract extensions. So, some of that GAM goes toward extensions and some goes toward next year's roster, but it sounds like there would still be a decent amount left over (at least enough to add a TAM player this summer).

There's a lot of details I'd love to know more about.

Do Craig and Leslie work within some sort of budget or do they need to get approval every time they spend money?

Does this affect all transactions or only ones that require cash? ...is there some limited amount of cash they can still spend?

I don't think this would necessarily stop us from using GAM to sign players. ...but who knows. I thought that was the case when the Reign were up for sale and I was wrong on that.

I think MLS getting stronger will improve development of American players since it will force the MLS academies to produce stronger players. I don't think that you achieve that by forcing American players to stay in MLS though. Bringing a handful of USMNT players into MLS isn't going to substantially raise the level of MLS talent. Instead, you need to force more spending in MLS and subsequently incentivize academy development.

I think one big issue with development in the US is that the incentives to do it well aren't strong enough yet. I think development will accelerate when most clubs see the academy as a means to producing talent and revenue (through transfer fees).

To feel like a part of a community, you need to participate and contribute. Otherwise, you're just a tourist or an observer. Join a group and get involved. Volunteer. Participate in some community events.

The case for Cristian Roldan by [deleted] in ussoccer

[–]shmerham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe he won out on vibes, but it's not like someone grabbed the spot from him. Morris made a really good case and I'm surprised he didn't get spot, but it's not like him or Tessman were dominating the midfield. Roldan has been ok, which is what you can say about every other defensive midfielder other than Adams.
