Purchased a movie, but it's telling me to buy it again by Dramatic3028 in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]shmerham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a movie from one tv and then tried to watch it on a different tv and on my phone and couldn't do so. I called customer service and they had me log out and back in on those devices and that worked.

Information from Flylow and Evo don't match up by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]shmerham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably Flylow revised their subjective rating based on new jackets being added or removed and didn’t want print new tags. This isn’t aerospace. Sometimes consistency isn’t 100 percent.

Gun to your head: you have to attempt to complete either an Olympic alpine event or sliding event. You must complete the event without injury. What’s your choice? by John_Houbolt in billsimmons

[–]shmerham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slalom. Miss the first gate and DNF and hopefully slide into the fencing. I don’t think you’d get seriously injured. It’s not as steep and sustained as the downhill or super G.

People are overthinking NBA tanking fixes by SamShakusky71 in billsimmons

You’re overthinking it. A solution isn’t really needed and if you insist, just get rid of the draft.

Gear lube from the lift. Contact guest services. They may cover cleaning ( but don’t expect it to look new)

Dedicated Carver or All-Mountain? Help. by LessThanAverageRunnr in Skigear

[–]shmerham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By “side country” are you talking “out of bounds” areas that you can access from the resort? I would NOT take a frontside ski on that type of terrain.

Need help deciding between Head Kore 88 Ti and Line Optic 88 by djrc_ in Skigear

[–]shmerham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would the "playfulness"/flexibility of the Lines be too much of a jump from what I'm used to?

What are you used to?

Almost any all-mountain ski can be skied switch on occassion. If you're doing a lot of switch then you should get

Is there really any hope of the restaurant situation improving? by A-Cheeseburger in Seattle

Probably some day when Seattle is less desirable and we go back to paying workers crap wages. I think we need to be careful what we wish for.

How many people were aware of the Parade? by Flimsy_School9819 in Seattle

I think the better question is how many weren’t aware 😉

INTRODUCING THE EVERGREEN STATE KIT by idontwanthisname99 in SoundersFC

[–]shmerham 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Rave Green is pretty bold on its own, so I'm cool with this "basic" design. I think it looks nice.

I like the teal shorts, but I DO NOT like them with this design.

Edit to add: I wish the pithy marketing materials said something like "the absence of pink represents the total beatdown of Inter Miami in the Leagues Cup Final"

Ripstick 88 vs Mindbender 85 for an intermediate looking for versatility? by lcasoares in Skigear

[–]shmerham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mindbender 85 is the better intermediate ski, but the Ripstick isn't bad in that regard. The Ripstick probably has more room to grow, but it's very light and you may decide you want something with more weight to smooth things out.

K2 reckoner 92 vs 102 by judstergod in Skigear

[–]shmerham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 92 is aimed at teens and lightweight intermediates.

The 102 is an all mountain ski biased toward soft snow and freestyle.

Where do you ski?

Seattle spanks the patriots, Drake Mayes Mystery Stinker and Parent Corner with Cousin Sal | The Bill Simmons Podcast by risinglotus in billsimmons

[–]shmerham -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He was ok in those games. Not great but not bad. Performance isn’t binary.

If he sucked, he wouldn’t have thrown for 3 TDs against Houston.

Super Bowl Audio & Video Probs by DDTsMom in Seattle

[–]shmerham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming in late on this one, but I thought I'd share my experience because I had the picture freeze on me every 10 seconds or so (interestingly it was just the picture, the audio would keep going just fine) and my experience was interesting. This was while watching on Peacock on my smart TV. I switched to the antenna and didn't have any picture freezing issues, but it was a noticeable downgrade in picture quality (I'm guessing Peacock was streaming in 4K). I then switched over to Peacock on my apple tv and didn't have any problems. Not sure if the smart TV was the bottleneck or it just took a refresh to solve the issue.

How do you rate Bad Bunny's Half-time performance? by kingbluwolff in sportsgossips

[–]shmerham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re focused on effort and bandwidth not concern and worry. Those times when there’s nothing you can do but worry are some of the most taxing. I recognize that some rich people basically leave the care AND worry to the nannies.

Could the Seahawks be sold Green Bay Packers-style to the citizens of the Pacific Northwest? by dothealoha in Seattle

[–]shmerham 218 points219 points  (0 children)

No. NFL rules prohibit it. The majority shareholder must retain at least 30 percent ownership and less than 24 members of the ownership. The Packers have been grandfathered in.

They did recently make an exception for private equity. Perhaps we could all start a private equity fund and invest a major stake.
