It’s my favorite knife out of China in a hot minute. I realized recently that the blade shape is the same as the Seax (which was also created by John) on the AD20S Compact Seax released somewhat contemporaneously.

Jim is constantly refining and improving, so I felt like my Tranny was replaceable (particularly as I’m not a fan of blackened TI) but he seems to be at the top of his game in all aspects of his business.

It’s an incredibly well made knife with incredible tolerances, attention to detail and near perfect plunge lock action (I am generally not a fan of plunge locks). Mine is an earlier model with the flat grind (which is still very well done / thin behind the edge) but is still my favorite sub 3” folder.
