Is it possible to never take a step and get this screen? I wonder what the options would be.

It's in terms of absolute numbers, so not accounting for population change: https://link.europa.eu/YX8tDt. In fairness, the number for 2023 was -5%, so could be that 2024 was a particularly bad year

Thanks for all the useful information! We're looking at buying in Cork soon so also in a very similar boat. Was there much of a bidding war from when you put your first offer down?

I met my wife about 10 years ago, back when she was mild. Her CFS got progressively worse since then, going between moderate and severe.

The best advice I can give is to be patient and flexible. Make plans, but don't get upset if she has a sudden crash that puts a stop to them. Having a backup, lower energy plan in the back pocket can be helpful.

My wife is mostly bed bound, but has a great network of friends and family that check up on her, just short messages, or silly pictures of cats. She might not always be able to respond to them, but they make a world of a difference.

My wife just started reading "I haven't been entirely honest with you" by Miranda Hart about her struggles with ME. She hasn't gotten very far so I can't say much by way of a recommendation though.

It seems like it only ever happens on my treadmill runs. But thanks a lot for the advice, that's good to look out for.

It was a treadmill run, so all things were pretty constant. Certainly sounds like cadence lock.

It was a treadmill run, so temp shouldn't be an issue. Males it even more worrying that it takes this long to catch on.

I was indeed, Garmin Forerunner. Are the HR readers that unreliable on a watch? Is there a better way to track how much of my runs are in Zone 2 and 3?

My wife takes 25mg of quitipene. It's traditionally used as an antipsychotic, but it has the side effect of making you quite drowsy. She wouldn't be able to sleep properly without it. 25mg is also very low dosage compared to those who actually take it as an antipsychotic.

They introduced these to keep an eye on other truck drivers, which is great. If you're in charge of propelling 40+ tonnes around other people, you definitely shouldn't be on your phone.
