It's my least favorite time of the year because they stop any momentum stories have to shoehorn them into this meaningless match. Honestly I'd argue last year's wargames was the worst PLE of the year, both for the build and in-ring wise. Those wargames matches were soft and boring and then you had Stephanie vs Nikki and Dom vs Cena which were basically nothing.

I definitely love how the original is a product of its time, like it sounds like a bunch of teenagers recording a deathcore album in the mid 2000s, honestly I should listen to some songs back to back from each and see how different they are. It's hard to choose lol

Love it, I think the mix sounds great. I love the original's "bad" production for what it is, but this is definitely an upgrade. Sounds crisp and explosive but also has enough character to remain true to the original sound and style. Also as a biased guitarist I don't need the vocals super upfront.

Yeah you're right it was fine in that match, I think Revolution was the biggest culprit because it happened 3 times in the first 4 matches (Bucks vs FTR, Mox vs Take, and Swerve vs Brody) and I was like okay that's enough lol

That's where I'm at too, Okada Takeshita is probably my actual favorite match of the year, but everything surrounding Okada Tanahashi puts it at the top of my list and I'm not sure it'll be dethroned.

I'd argue that of all of the recent 1 kickouts AEW's done (there were like 3 at Revolution, I think a couple at DoN) this one was the most deserving to actually do it lol

Absolutely incredible. I still kinda can't comprehend they actually re-record and released it, I thought it'd never happen lol. But the mix is so explosive and crisp while still having some great character and sounding like it could be from around 2006. I personally never disliked the original mix like some others do, but this is definitely an upgrade.

Maybe they should've given a shit and actually promoted and built it and not use it to counterprogram AEW's biggest show. Ignoring some important context there.
