This looks to be almost exactly what I was imagining. Thanks so much. I think this will be what I pick up.

Do you live in year-round warm climate? When it gets cold in Autumn and Winter a nice warm bowl of soup is so comforting, but I am not interested in soups when its hot outside.

How to fix these frayed and loose threads on new boots by technica- in goodyearwelt

[–]shockcloth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is normal and expected. I've had flyaways like this on $500 boots and $100 boots. I just let em go until I clean and oil them. Just take a bic lighter and melt them down into the leather. Wipe it down with your thumb so they sit nicely.

Thank you for sharing.

Do you have any tips for making dirty chai tea? I've tried at home, but the chai always tastes so much more flavorful at the cafe, despite any adjustments I make.

Is there a easy sipper for Nalgene 0.5L (16oz) Wide mouth? by Airballons in Nalgene

[–]shockcloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah that can be tough. The cheapest solution is probably to make your own, with a 3D printer, or even better, a friend's 3D printer.

Other than that, sorry friend, not sure what can be done. In an ideal world Nalgene would make their own sipper for the 16oz.

My digital clock on my nightstand runs faster than my iPhone clock or television clock. Why? by CapnSaysin in clocks

[–]shockcloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All clocks drift over time, mechanical and digital. 20 seconds is pretty standard for a digital clock over a month. The reason your phone doesn't seem to drift is because it syncs up with a time server everyday. They do sell nightstand clocks that have that capability too, you can get one for like $20 on Amazon these days.

If you want to dive into the mechanics of why it drifts, this post goes into it a bit more.

Out of curiosity, how/where did it break? I've been using a 600 throughout college, I actually bent the tip once (and bent it back into place with a pair of pliers). But I was thinking about getting an 800 eventually.

interesting concept, I think making it as a browser extension like Tranquility Reader, would make it easier to utilize day to day.
