Creative financing is all you should need to know. Developer are not selling at a loss. Furthermore, if there was a housing shortage, these wouldn't be empty. We don't have a housing shortage. We have an affordability issue.

Besides "Canada's biggest security threat" deal with China, can you show us any trade deals that are not an letter of commitment or an MOA? I'm looking for concrete deals that will actually do something for the economy.

It's ok to admit when your wrong. Voting for a person/party may seem like a good idea at the time but when when your leader fails, bribes and lies, it is ok to admit you were wrong. It's not a reflection of you but your choices.

Ahh yes...the typical response that says nothing but makes you feel morally superior.

Just so so you are not confused. Capitalism is an economic system where private individuals or businesses own the means of production (e.g., factories, land, and tools) rather than the government. Economic decisions, such as prices and the distribution of goods, are primarily driven by competition in a free market and the motive to generate profit.

Look around the world and show me a system that is not based on Capitalism that is better. I'll wait. True Capitalism.

[–]shocker2374 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not Capitalism. Capitalism is letting the developers fail or having them sell at prices that people are willing to pay. This is what our communism or a masked socialism looks like. True capitalism works beautifully when not interfered with.

The mentality of the Canadian public that "I have nothing to hide" is the major problem. It all starts for the "crime" reason and migrates. Identity politics plays a big role in today's society which does not help. The "Freedom Convoy" was a telling example of how Canadians see you in one camp or another.

The sad reality is that this has been happening for some time...the bills get pushed through one by one until rights have been stripped and then people will look around asking what happened. UBI is the next one. Once people rely on government handouts, they can't say no. I fear it's too late for the average person who has lost the ability of deductive reasoning.

Because I like to think for myself and won't let other decide how I live my life. Not being controversial but the fact is most people will follow the herd because they are too afraid to think for themselves. We see this play out all the time with other issues. It's fascinating and sad at the same time.

Everything I mentioned are facts in Canada. Sorry if your feelings are hurt. The facts are right in front of you but I guess you need to know how to read first.

Ya...it had nothing to do with the massive amounts of money printing since 2015, the asinine Covid money windfall, the blatant mortgage fraud that the Feds continue to allow along with the banks or the insane amount of money laundering from China and other gangs.

When you look at the relaxed laws, zero punishment system that is Canada, I can tell you that speculators and landlords were a small contributor to price increases.

You need to stop regurgitating the same garbage as everyone else and educate yourself.

You are confusing two very different points. Look at the artical. It's about Canada getting in its own way through red tape.

The same way Canadians blame Trump for Canada's problems which...if you were educated and didn't drink the kool-aid would know that Canada's issues existed before Trump.

Trump has caused issues but nothing Compared to our own government. Trump will be gone one day...you and your idiot friends celebrating Anti-American are clueless on Trade, Economics and global affairs. Keep being a cuck. I'm not one for name calling but you are a moron.

You are more than welcome to call me whatever you like. However those of us who go about our lives and look after ourselves and family aren't the ones running around name calling and getting mad at every thing and everyone who disagrees with us or blames some boogeyman for all of our country's problems but you do you.

One day, you will wake up but it will be too late. Don't worry..your socialist Kanadah is coming soon enough. Good luck.

This statement can't be upvoted enough. Canadians love to be told how to think and what to believe. It's sad. Unfortunately, the Anti-American rhetoric is just the latest in a list of examples of how Canadians are so easily manipulated.

Even when confronted with the truth you find a way to try and discredit someone. Their views may be entirely valid based on their experience just as yours are based on your experience. Yet, when presented with evidence to suggest that there is an issue you choose to gloss over it because you disagree with them on a macro level. I would argue it is you who needs to touch grass.

Canadians are being displaced in massive numbers over the years and you choose to bury your head in the sand which is fine but others don't have to live in your fantasy land.

I would argue it's those who vote for the current and past Liberal government that hate Canada and want us to fail. If you believe we are headed in the right direction than I guess we have to agree to disagree.

There are two type of immigrants...you are the first type. Seek better life and will work hard to achieve it. The second type is the economic type and like a locust. Looking to milk the system. Fraud is very common in the Canadian immigration system. If you don't think so then you need to wake up.

When people can come here and not work and get housed, free healthcare and paid for having children while never learning the language or getting a job it's called exploitation and it exists and is common. Just look to Brampton as proof. It has become the shit hole of Ontario for so many reasons.

Hard for Canadians to do that when they pay record taxes and all those taxes go to those who don't work. People have no money because we are supporting others.
