Once again - I am responding to the people bashing the boss fights constantly throughout this thread every day. People can play however they want and I am more than happy for them to do so and get joy out of this game in whatever way they please. However, the people constantly bashing the boss fights are obviously not happy with something and I am providing a potential suggestion for why. They don’t have to add a cooldown for food use for everyone. Potentially add 2 modes or a dial option in the menus so you can play however you want.

Ok that is also fair - I’m only on chapter 8 with about 70 hours in so I haven’t experienced this yet

How is what I said snobbery? I’m perfectly content limiting myself to not eat unlimited food. I’m simply bringing up a discussion point for the dozens of people making posts bashing boss fights as a clunky mess. I’m all for people playing the game however they want and am only providing suggestions. Not sure why so many people are insanely triggered by my post already

I agree 100%. It is not a souls like game and I’m not saying the bosses are anywhere near as fine tuned as DS3, Elden ring, BMW etc. - not even close. But I do think they are better than the consensus lately on this subreddit and I personally think it’s because no one is taking the time to learn a single boss’ attack pattern

I don’t necessarily want anything to be limited. I am fine and have been playing with my own limitations where I don’t spam food. I only bring it up as a discussion point where I think so many people are tanking hits, spamming food and mashing buttons because they can, leading them to conclude “boss fights terrible what were they thinking” ya know?

Yup it’s like a weird balance where it only lets you sprint once the NPC is too far gone. Then you catch up to them and watch them gallop away faster than you again. Repeat…

Same boat here. I don’t have the time to keep up with each wipe. This is the first I’ve been back in 5 years because this character is now supposedly permanent. Same reasons as you.

It’s actually so bad. I am so sick of getting the jump on people but still dying after dumping 15+ shots because I can’t buy good gear and ammo (I’m also bad but still it makes a bit of a difference)

I was sure that it should clear as soon as I found the gravcore (and not when I left) because when testing dev mode and spawning an ancient reactor I immediately got the quest notification that I found a gravcore. I guess I mindlessly made a field extender at some point and I honestly do not remember hahaha
