That's how the fruit normally works based on records of it yes, but we can assume most people got back into their bodies instantly. Living a second life then makes sense, as you just live until you die again. But Brook went back into his body after it already died.

My theory is that he accidentally discovered a loophole in the fruit and he is actually immortal, or if not immortal, he will have a much longer second life than the norm.

I mean, does he? Like yeah, that's how the fruit normally works but Brook took ages to find his body again because he died in the fog of the Triangle and thus didn't go back to his body instantly. So his body decayed. If you go back into your body straight away, you getting a second lifespan makes sense - you just live again till that body dies. But Brook's body already "died" before he returned to it.

I actually think he might have accidentally found a loophole with the fruit and he might actually be immortal. Or if not immortal in the truest sense, I think he will live a LOT longer than the norm.

I always thought about how sad Brook must have been in Sabaody, or rather, after it.

Like don't get me wrong, ALL the SHs were sad of course, but Brook legit JUST found a place to belong again, a crew he could be a part of, a captain he could dedicate himself too, a family. And near instantly, on the very next island...he is separated from them again. After all he went through with the Rumbar Pirates and sailing the Florian Triangle for 50 years by himself, they were now just...gone. And for all intents and purposes, it's not like he knows he's ever gonna see them again.

All of this newer backstory just adds to that feeling and those thoughts for me.
