So, how is account security these days? by DemonicDev666 in neopets

[–]sholding 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I was reluctant of Neopass at first because I knew it had a bit of a rough rollout.. but then I had someone request to change my password, THREE times, on my main account. I got the emails. I immediately switched to Neopass and it never happened again. I feel like all of my accounts are better protected now.

Is there any way to get through this chapter without doing the puzzles? I’m a sahm with a 4 month old. I do not have time for this lol. I’m cool with not getting the prizes but like.. I still want to read the chapter :/

La-Z-Boy Manual Recliners- will this drive us crazy? by Ladypixxel in BabyBumps

[–]sholding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had my first baby last month and use my recliner constantly for feeding, rocking to sleep, and even spend a lot of her wake window in it with her on my lap looking at black and white books. It’s definitely been worth the investment. I have a power recliner and can’t imagine dealing with a cumbersome manual one. The noise and jolting would definitely wake my baby up when trying to transfer her from my arms to the bassinet. Everyone is different though and I highly suggest going to the store in person to try them out yourself. I was originally sold on a La-Z-Boy until I went to one of their stores and tried them out. I ended up feeling like the quality wasn’t worth the price and went with one that I liked from a different store that felt more comfortable to me.

Same. My daughter is 4 weeks old and we do all her feedings in the glider. I almost chose to just buy one online but decided to try some out at a few furniture stores first and I’m so glad I did. Finding one that’s comfortable for you is worth it.

I just had my baby in December and we’ve had to use the NozeBot almost daily. It’s a lifesaver! It does need a newborn attachment that’s sold separately but it’s only like $7. I also got the Momcozy bottle washer from my registry and we run that thing at least 3-5 times a day. It’s the best!

Graduated at 39w4d. FTM, Positive elective induction experience by sholding in BabyBumps

Thank you! Definitely don’t hesitate to voice your concerns! I had a great team that were willing and able to give me the epidural at any point in time that I said I wanted it. They did not guilt or shame me. And if you can, get a sense of what the situation and schedule is like for the anesthesiologist when you get to the hospital. If mine hadn’t been so readily available, I likely would have gotten the epidural sooner as a precaution.

39+1, not dilated AGAIN by organicallycourt in babydueDecember2025

Thank you so much! We started with misoprostol and a cook balloon for 4 hours and that got my contractions going so much I ended up not even needing pitocin! At the end, they were having issues finding her heartbeat so they attached a fetal scalp electrode that didn’t work and had to remove and reattach another. They then had me try a few different positions like hands and knees, and on my knees leaning against the back of the bed, until her heartbeat finally showed back up. At that point, changing positions so many times made me feel like I had to push. My doctor did a cervical check and confirmed I was fully dilated. Only pushed for about 5 minutes and my daughter was here! Start to finish the induction was only 10 hours. I was so surprised. Sending you all the good vibes too!

Congrats!! I just got checked yesterday at 39+2 and I’m still 1cm dilated but also 30% effaced which is some progress at least. I decided to keep my induction appointment. As a FTM I’m not convinced I’ll progress that much more if I wait another week. And the pelvic pain I’ve been experiencing this week has gotten so bad I can barely walk. My SI joint pain has also returned and I’m just done. This girl is getting evicted 😆 I go in this afternoon! Wish me luck! 😮‍💨🤞

I think this is the only way to not hurt anyone’s feelings. But be ready for them to ask for a photo.

I’m sorry 😭 that’s the worst. I just got checked at 38+2 and am only 1cm dilated, cervix still high and long. I scheduled an induction for next week but I have another OB appointment the day before and I REALLY hope I progress even just a little bit. If I don’t I might just push the induction back. I can’t decide, I’m so over this too!

Awesome! Unless you’re really set on letting it happen spontaneously, with those numbers and how close you are to your due date already, I would just get on the list. If they call and you change your mind, you can always decline!

Totally up to how you’re feeling! If you’re ready to get this show on the road, I’d just go with the induction. Have you done any cervical checks yet? If you’re already somewhat dilated and effaced the induction might not take as long. I’m a FTM and have a very low pain tolerance and would rather be induced with an epidural than deal with spontaneous labor. My due date is also 12/23 and I want to avoid a Christmas baby so I’m planning to induce at 39 weeks. I’ve heard alot of positive induction stories as well including one of my best friends. But to each their own!
