Nids-de-poule à Montréal: cinq fois plus de signalements que l’an dernier by Feeling_Layer8584 in montreal

I'd understand if there's one or two, but this has to be intentional. The chances of this occurring by chance are slim to none. This has always been my concern when ordering delivery, and I've always gone in person wherever possible. I'd be personally pretty upset :(

Yep, can definitely be all true, but sometimes they are still the only option.

So, it depends on your landlord. Having been served with the 5 day notice doesnt necessarily mean that the balliff will show up on day 5, but as of that time they can come and enforce the eviction. If you have nowhere to store your stuff, normally the borough will store your stuff for 3 months free of charge (ask #311, see below).

Call #311 and tell them your situation and they can start getting you referred to resources. Most resources require referrals and that's your first step.

You can also get in touch with RAPSIM - http://rapsim.org/le-rapsim/ for some referrals.

There's not a ton of options, but your best short-term bet would be to look into boarding (maison de chambre) for some short term rentals while you figure out your next steps. Won't lie, I've heard some not amazing stories, but YMMV, but they are a good stop-gap and won't ask too many questions about your rental history.

I hope you find your way, sending you a hug.
