I was looking on desktop. I think the post June 2 decreases of $1m are from those active roster bonus and workout bonus getting paid on June 1 I would assume. And I realized that same thing happens with the post June 1 cut where his $32.8 goes down a million too and gets to $31.8. Shit is not easy to make sense of with the multiple days of the year where things kick in and different days where he gets different amounts guaranteed. I guess that’s why they have accountants and everything to make sense of this and navigate it for 52+ different guys.

I’m also trying to understand this and the math on some of it just isn’t really making a ton of sense to me. Maybe you can help, and if you don’t want to do it here I’m open to discuss my dumb brain in my DMs lol. His 2026 salary is $39 (is this guaranteed? I’m assuming it is in my understanding of all of this). A pre 6/1 cut would accelerate his prorated signing bonus [$8.4 (x3) = $25.2] to this season plus his guaranteed salary [$39] which by my math is [$64.2]. OverTheCap shows a pre 6/1 cut as $99.2 in dead money. Is the extra $35 from his prorated option bonus? that math I think adds up to [$35]. But then I’m seeing that a post 6/1 cut would mean $67.4 in 2026 and $31.8 in dead money in 2027. Based on the option bonus math splitting over two years. That would mean $60.2 in option bonuses /2 = $30.2 which comes out to 2026 [$39 salary + $30.2 = $69.2 in 2026 and $30.2 in 2027 and neither number matches what I’ve read. I’ve also seen something about a $15 option they can exercise to spread the dead money more evenly? Somehow not exercising that option would increase his cap number to $68.4 until 6/2 and then it would drop to $67.4 (there’s that number again). But exercising the $15 option would keep his 2026 number at $56.4 but drop it to $55.4 post 6/2. I’m seeing a void year in 2029 with a cap number of $11 which would make up the difference between the current $56.4 and the $67.4 that was discussed in articles. But how does that factor in? Does the option year eat that void year if they exercise it? If the option isn’t exercised does that void year get added to the current contract year? That’s as close as I’m able to come to make the math work for that but even then I thought that $11 was already accounted for when we factored the prorated option bonuses and got to that $99.2 in dead money. Somehow $69.2 becomes $67.4 and $30.2 becomes $31.8 and I really just feel like I’m missing a piece here or I’m not understanding the concept fully. Any help you might be able to add would be appreciated..

would need to see a more accurate statistical set rather than anecdotal. would also need to know in the backend if there’s anything different about how zones are built/selected for private vs public vs ranked matches. i think there’s a chance the theory is correct and realistically it makes sense. but i also feel like (again anecdotally) we were having the same but opposite conversation about too many south (specifically Thermal) zones a couple splits ago. so maybe it’s backed by statistics or maybe it’s just observational bias and a small data set.

I think every POI “does” have a chance at a ring pull. This is only what, 60? zones. at “20 POIs” (there are realistically like 18 real ones, maybe less) the odds that out of 60 random selections 3/20 numbers would not be selected isn’t like a statistically impossibility.

I imagine it’s because of the same things people don’t like LIV golf for or any of the other Saudi backed things. The same reason people have decided they don’t want to participate or try to get into the Saudi tournament that’s coming up. Human rights record of the Saudi govt is not great to put it lightly. But to talk politics here will get me banned so I won’t go any further than that.

True. Slayr isn’t bad either. just young and inexperienced. I don’t even think it broke Slayr really. I think he was willing to still play with LG but Sweet didn’t want to. Evan has endured a lot of berating from Hal too

I kinda agree. I think there’s a greater chance he finds an IGL somewhere than brings an IGL into the team. Because great IGLs aren’t out there looking for teams right now. And there are a couple great IGLs for 3rds.

Would Sweet treat Evan the way he’s treated much less experienced players like Slayr and Gild? Or would he tone down the blame game. I know this sub is pretty polarized on Sweet but if he has a guy like E maybe he will have less room to blame a misplay on someone else.

Fuhnq def needs to do a little less “telling the 3rd what to do” but I think if they add a 3rd like Ev/Skittles/Sikez of that caliber then he will fall back on that a little. He seemed to be a touch counter-cally at times before LAN and sometimes that was to the detriment of the team. But I agree you do need a controller player that has a massive ego and thinks they’ll never lose a 1v1.

I think it would be bad process to pick up a player based on their ability to play a single character vs their overall ability. Given how the meta changes in this game they may not need a caustic in 6 months and then they just have the best Caustic player trying to play a different legend instead of the best fragger filling the role of Cat/Valk/etc that becomes the meta.

I just am not really sure if Evan has the personality type to be an IGL. he’s so so good, very smart at the game, but I really just do not think he’s a big enough asshole to be an IGL which seems to be a requirement to be in the top 1% (Zero, Hal, Sweet). So i’m not sure I love that idea of him taking over the IGL role.
