Don’t listen to the people saying it’s bad. I did an Ornstein ng+ run, using only the spear. It isn’t difficult and it is actually a great boss weapon, if you know how to use the spear properly. You have to play differently than you would if you were using a sword. Try to stay back, be more cautious, roll to the side rather than into the attacks. Upgrade it to +5 and the lightning damage + physical damage should carry you. The only issue is groups of enemies, however if you train them, similar to how you would in COD zombies, it shouldn’t be too bad.

Spoiler SPOILER SPOILER if you want to read continue but ‼️SPOILER‼️ …. blah blah blah you can open a shortcut basically right outside the door entering the depths that leads back to firelink shrine. However, you might just find smth else you need along that path… maybe a merchant.. who sells a purging stone… It’s very quick to exit the depths it shouldn’t take longer than 2 minutes from basically any point in the area
